I'm tired this morning. I started working on my big printer (HP Designjet 500) as the main drive belt fell apart last spring and I finally got around to get the new belt ordered earlier this week. It is a major undertaking, but luckily, there is a great youtube video showing how to do the job, made by the company who supplies the new parts. Took me just over 3 hours to complete. Then I decided to replace printheads, well that probably wasn't a good thing as the printheads I had were dated 2007 and one, the magenta, didn't want to work. I'll order another new set.

Cool again this morning, looking for a high in the mid 60s. Quite cloudy too.

Doors are supposed to be here tomorrow, so I'll go out and do a couple little jobs for some people to fill the time today.

I hope everyone here has a great day.

Howdy! Decent day today, but I decided to leave the Vette at home, as it might rain this afternoon. They melt, you know.

RIP, Hef. I remember seeing my first Playboy magazine when I was 6 or 7 (my older brother was home from college, and I stumbled onto it). I was mesmerized ;)

Have a good day, all!

I am grateful to those who take the time to put how-to vids out on youtube - they have saved me a ton of time and aggravation.

CLOUDY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, FEELS A LOT LIKE FALL. DARLING WIFE GONE TO DALLAS TO GET TOGETHER WITH HER COLLEGE COVEN AND I AM UNSUPERVISED. NOTHING BUT PARTY, PARTY, PARTY. (RIGHT AFTER MY NAP) :-)

THE WASP WAR CONTINUES, MAYBE IT WILL TAKE ATTRITION TO WIN.

"---AND AFTER THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED, AND THE BRAVE NEW WORLD BEGINS
WHEN ALL MEN ARE PAID FOR EXISTING AND NO MAN MUST PAY FOR HIS SINS,
AS SURELY AS WATER WILL WET US, AS SURE AS FIRE WILL BURN,
THE GODS OF THE COPYBOOK HEADINGS WITH TERROR AND SLAUGHTER RETURN!"

THIS EERILY PRESCIENT POEM WAS WRITTEN IN 1919, AS THE "ROARING TWENTIES" WERE REVVING UP. AND, OF COURSE, IN 1929 THE COPYBOOK GODS DID PAY US A VISIT, AND IN 1939 RETURNED WITH ENOUGH FIRE AND SLAUGHTER TO SATISFY ANYBODY.
IT IS IN A WAY TIMELESS; YOU CAN IGNORE REALITY ONLY SO LONG BEFORE IT BITES YOU IN THE ASS. BUT AS CHURCHILL SAID, "WHAT WE LEARN FROM HISTORY IS THAT PEOPLE DO NOT LEARN FROM HISTORY."

Good Afternoon CGs!

The cooler weather is a nice change. This morning it was in the low 60s, in the low 70s now.

Still have the rental car. It goes quick but handles like shit. Fuel economy is good, though. Not overly uncomfortable, either. Maybe good for a high school or college kid, but it certainly doesn't butter my bread.

I saw the car at the body shop the other day. New 1/4 panel is on and bonded/welded. Needs primer, blocking, and paint. Should have it back next week some time.

Hope everyone had a great day!
