Really .... I don't wanna work but alas ..... I must. Time to put my ass in first gear ..........

Howdy! Kinda gloomy out there today, but no rain. Yet. Meanwhile, my plan to veg out watching football and golf have been derailed by a family event this afternoon.

Well good morning my brothers.......and sister.........it has been a busy time here at the old yellow house..... big month with the wedding and all. Yesterday I signed the papers that sold my business to another company. I have been working on this for several months and finally got the deal done yesterday.

I have been writing my own paycheck since 1984 and decided that while my companies have some worth I better sell them. I am 67 and just felt the time was right.

I will continue to work for the folks that bought me out, they have given me generous compensation to keep doing what I do with my.....er....their clients. I told them I would give them a year or so to help in the transition over to them. They say work as long as I want...... It will be a relief not having to do the taxes and worry about the bank and all the other business stuff that is required to do. Now I can do just what I like to do......the work part.

Anyway that is my story and I'm sticking to it.......kinda a retirement in stages. Uwoman is younger then me and she says I can't retire till she does......... so that may be awhile.

Went out last night and did some celebration......ate large amounts of red meat and washed it down with fine wine's....... also had a huge piece of chocolate cake and ice cream....... oh yeah.......

I will continue to boycott the NFL this week......they have really pissed me off.......instead I will go out and drive my Corvette on this lovely fall day...

Lazy day right now. Working out and we have a family party later. Ironically it's a 40th anniversary party for my wife's aunt and uncle. Same exact day/year as my parents. Mom is taking it a little rough but she'll be there later.

Hey guys....slept in this morning, then went over to the 'city' to do our weekly shopping. Came home and I worked in the shop most of the afternoon, cleaning, straightening things up, listening to the Royals get their arses handed to them (not that it matters) The last time our core group will probably play together as the 5 of them become free agents. Anticipation on which, if any, of them get to stay.

Congrats, Marcus! I know this has been in the planning for a while. I'm happy for for you and Mrs. The change will be 'different'.

Gris, make that beer run! Tommy, I hope you got some things done today. Brad, I hope you had a good time with the family this afternoon. Matt, enjoy the family time today.
