The title is not a deep philosophical thought, but a straight forward meaning. It seems like the days got hours shorter overnight. Some of the darkness is because of the cloud cover we've had for the last couple of weeks.
Much cooler today and the wind is supposed to blow...it did yesterday too. I have things to do in the shop while I wait for the materials to finish the kitchen remodel. I hope everyone here has a wonderful and productive day. |

Howdy! It is plenty gloomy here as well - there are rumors of an appearance by the sun tomorrow. We shall see. Meanwhile, we managed to stay dry on the golf course yesterday, but by the time we got home, it would've been a great time to be an ark salesman.

Cloudy here too, dreary actually. Worn out yesterday, sat down outside, clouds rolled in, wind picked up and I fell flat asleep sitting straight up in a chair. Can't remember the last time I did that. Quite an accomplishment. I must hurry and get a hammock ordered.

It's been raining every day and windy to boot the past two. Supposed to rain through the week. All that has meant to me is I get to work in the rain. Knocking stuff off here one thing at a time. Mixing recovery efforts with regular work details. Seeing all the piles of debris, broken fences, overturned trees, tarped roofs and destroyed sheds just brings back the bad experience of life after Hurricane Andrew. This was no Andrew but the clean up and fix up will take months. In the Caribbean ... it will take years. |

Rained here in the morning so it's been muggy all day. I tinkered around the house and made a trip to HD. Somehow walked out $50 lighter. Funny how that happens.

MAJOR ATTACK ON THE KILLER WASPS THIS AFTERNOON, AS I FEARED, HAD TO TEAR DOWN HALF THE WOOD PILE. THE NEST WAS ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM NEXT TO THE BARN WALL. Letty, I like the fact that the double quilted Walmart hammock with fixed pillow is Heavy Duty Stylish. I think the frame I liked best was Brad's link. If budget was the concern I'd go with the larch. For longevity I'd go with the Costco offering. I have hammocks but no frame. Even if I had one I never have the time to rest in it. I seem to make time for a nice afternoon nap in bed though.
