Morning gang.

A little chilly here to start. Temps in the mid 30's with a frost advisory for today and tomorrow. With that news looks like I'll be putty the lawn mower away for the season and bringing out the snow blower.

Word of the day is deadwood.

We got some bad news in the family two weeks ago. My sister in law was diagnosed with breast cancer. My brother took it pretty hard but has his hopes up because they think they caught it early.

Now that the cooler weather is here looks like the fall colors will finally get going. At least I'm hoping so.

Well have a great day gang.

I SEE THE "COUNTRY CLUB" REPUBLICANS KEEP DROPPING OUT; THEY SEE THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL, I GUESS. THE ONLY QUESTION IN MY MIND IS WILL THEY TORPEDO TAX REFORM AS A FINAL F U TO US DEPLORABLES.

Howdy! The only nice day of the week, so I'm gonna head out to do a bunch of yard work early this afternoon. I'd rather head out to do something more pleasant, but duty calls.

Much mojo for your SIL, Mike.

Have a good day, all!

Hey guys... back from the Dr. don't have to go back unless I develop issues with my feet. Got home just in time to unload my materials from the truck. Now I'll head out to get to work.

Prayers are important Mike. My sis fought that battle for over a year, and they didn't catch it early. So her battle was even worse. The treatments were tough, but she's done with them and gaining strength each day. I'll say one for her and yours.

They said today was going to be the last warm one for a while and they said, it wouldn't be as windy today. Well, it hasn't warmed up too much yet and the wind is blowing just about as hard as yesterday.

I got to get to work. Have a great day guys.

Sorry to hear about your sister in law, Mike.

I've had a rough past 2 days with the Corvette. Went to leave yesterday and the car wouldn't start. Wtf. No crank, no start. I tapped the starter, still wouldn't go. Had it hooked up to a jump box which has worked in the past. I ripp d the dash apart and cut out the start enable relay and spliced it. Fired right up. Somehow taking everything apart caused me to lose my VSS signal which I found out while driving. Car stalled twice on the way to work and wouldn't restart when I was literally 4 blocks away. Finally started after 10 minutes of messing around.

Fired right up after work. Driving home from work it stalled 3 more times.

Now I suspect the ignition switch is the culprit.

Started working on it this morning and pulled the entire dash to locate the VSS problem. Somehow the entire pin/wire pulled out of the harness at the IP. I fixed that. Also took out the IP and replaced an LCD panel with a new one I bought 2 years ago....oops. everything back together and the VSS ist working. Of course now I can't replicate the no crank, no start!

I know the starter has been iffy from the headers. I already planned on rebuilding it but never got around to it. Now I'm going to drop the steering column and replace the ignition switch, as well. Call it the parts cannon but it's $23 and they go bad over time. Not sure when I'll get to that, either.

I hate intermittent problems.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Cut all the nurseries' grass today. While doing the first one I was riding near a fence and something jumped up and struck me in the leg. Felt like a snake. Scared the $#!+ out of me. It was a snakelike stick. Tomorrow it's home mowing and yard work in prep for our departure on Saturday. Oh how I look forward to turning off the phone. No work for a week except for the work I'll put in at the casino. Sleeping late, eating what and when I want. Ice cream just before bedtime. Did I mention sleeping late? Staying up late too.

It's gonna get cold tonight in SoFlo. Mid 50's. Early in the season for a surprise like that. Bbbbuuurrrrrr.

Well, it was an eventful day...not like Matts', thank goodness (sorry to hear of those troubles Matt).

I finished building the shelf for the nice older lady and matched the stain and got it stained. Tomorrow (weather permitting) I'll spray it and Friday I'll try to get it hung. We are supposed to see a big change in weather tomorrow. Highs of low 60s, but that is supposed to come fairly early, then dropping temps throughout the rest of the day ending with a hard freeze, mid 20s, Friday morning and only highs in the low 40s Friday and then into the deep freeze Friday night/Saturday morning, mid teens.

Oldest daughter and SIL are putting solar panels on their house to offset electrical service. This is something I've considered over the years, so I contacted their guy and spent an hour at the city office getting information the guy needs to try and figure what we need. We're sitting on some $$ from the insurance settlement for the hailed out roof, depending on the situation we might be able to use that money toward this project.

Tommy, I hope that you get the rest and relaxation you are hoping for (or not, spending time in the casino )
