SEMI-SUNNY AND MILD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, MAY EVEN BE WARM ENOUGH FOR A TOP-DOWN DRIVE.

THE BERGDAHL DISGRACE IS A SHINING EXAMPLE OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE MILITARY JUSTICE OUT OF THE HANDS OF SOLDIERS AND TURN IT OVER TO LAWYERS. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN UNTHINKABLE IN THE ARMY I WAS IN.

JACK CADE WAS RIGHT.

Hidey-ho! The party's over - back to the grindstone tomorrow. We had a good week, despite a fair amount of snow up there. Ate waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much, will be avoiding scales for a while. Now I am just hoping for a dry day sometime in the near future so I can finish picking up leaves - it's a mess. But not today - it is too wet, and I have couch-denting to do.

Have a good day, all!

Hey guys...got up and went to church, then had breakfast, then on to pick up some more plumbing supplies....Have I ever told you guys, I hate f*@king plumbing? We picked up some Dot's Pretzels, they are so freaking good. Made up around the spearfish, SD area....VERY tasty.

Hoing to help SIL figure out a shelf unit he wants to build, but I also see a nap in my future this afternoon. Have a great day guys.

Good Evening CGs!

I planned on a lazy morning, but that didn't happen. Mom called and said the car wouldn't start. Luckily I know a guy who has a couple of tools that he let me borrow So I picked up a few things and went over there. Battery is 5 years old so time for a new one. Luckily there is an Advanced Auto just down the street. I also had some coupons, etc and saved 60 bucks on the battery. After tax it came out to around 120. Batteries are certainly not cheap anymore. Regardless, mom is happy.

Hope you're feeling better today, Letty.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Cruise went great. Good food, staff, ship and entertainment. Sue found the Holy Grail of poker, the evasive Royal Flush. 1000 to 1 on a $5 bet. As a team we came out on the plus side. As a single player I left what I budgeted. I got bumped out of the poker tournament on the first round. Sue was #1 in the first round only to suffer terrible cards in the second round and zeroed out. The last night of the cruise I made a $500 comeback and called it a night. As well as the 5k Sue also got a free balcony for the May tournament. Might not go. It's out of Galveston. Just for the flight transfers and 1 night at a hotel would cost over a grand. The cruise would be free though except for the port charges and taxes. I'll think about it. Sue got a free interior on regular play and I got an interior for $100 for my efforts. Again, add port charges and taxes. Usually in the 3-5 hundred range. Still, that's a steal of a deal. I know we will cruise again (after our December 1st cruise). It's just a matter of when. Mowed all three nurseries today then Sue had me do some heavy lifting honey-do's. The first was help load a steel masted nursery sign, then an 80 lb bag of concrete mix. Next help pick up a 6'x 6' chain link dog cage and bring it to the welder that made the sign for us. Lastly hoist the sign into the three foot deep hole that was waiting for it. It was just Sue and I positioning the sign. I damned near dropped it. I used everything I had not to drop it. My back and right nut are letting me know I used everything I had. When it dropped into the hole I was breathing heavily and Sue was like ..... "What's a matter with you?" She just doesn't get it. I'm sixty-f@(%in-two, dammit. In damn good shape for 62 I might add. lol.

Good evening, all.

Nice to hear some good cruise stories, Tom.

Things are quiet back in Philly: we're still recovering from the judging two weeks ago and I was at a conference most of last week.

Saturday was a good day: Ivelis drove the 2012 to a crushing of the grapes at the local winery and I got good son points by taking the 1985 over to my parent's house and getting my mother set up with her new ThinkPad. The weather is getting chillier, which makes the L98 happier—I indulged in some near full throttle for a couple of seconds and Lauren responded by lunging forward. Good times!
