Read the story above first.

It is my understanding that this same thing happened in Florida with bananas. The plaintiff won on a peel.

Morning guys..... That was BAAAAAAD, Tommy. Of course the lawsuit was a farce...$7.5m? ridiculous...

Deer are very active around here too, have to be diligent about driving at night.

Got things to do in the shop, I hope that all of you Vets get your free meal today, it's the LEAST that can be done to thank you for your service.

Good morning, all!

Cold (around 25 degrees) but beautiful this morning. A strange Veterans Day—all the commemorations in my area (including Penn's lovely one) were yesterday (Friday). I wore my miniature medals (Expert Pistol, Expert Rifle, and Aviation Warfare wings) and my flag tie, which attracted the usual appreciative comments.

Today, just some quiet contemplation. The end of my service is now almost three decades ago ...

Thank you vets.......could not do what we do without your service......

It's a cold and grey November day....... just right for the Huskers to head north to take on the Golden Gophers on their frozen tundra..... the battle of the basement will ensue.....two 4-5 teams banging into each other in 30 degree weather....... what is not to love?

I will be soil sampling and listening to the game on the radio..... must keep going before the ground freezes.......

Have a warm day Guru's.......

Greetings! The sun is shining, but there are still remnants of last night's dusting of snow. I had hoped to sleep in until it was all gone, but only made it to 10:30 :P

Happy Veterans Day and a heap of gratitude to all who served.

I see the big Goofers-Huskers battle starts in 5 minutes - I can barely contain my excitement. One of these teams might actually get to a bowl game - seems criminal.

Have a great day, all!

I've settled on watching this game only because two folks in this thread mentioned it so pejoratively ...

My theory so far is that the Lakeland Dental Academy team hijacked the Nebraska team bus.

Good Evening CGs!

Thank you to our vets.

Marcus, I just scored a couple nice sets of wrenches on ebay I've been looking for.
As part of my 12 step program I already sold the ones they are replacing because I don't need duplicates.

Tomorrow is the wife's bday so this morning I had the kids make her some cards and a little paper flowers project. Mom will love it.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Well that did not go as planned.........we were ok until the game started....then it all went to chit mon........ I really think any small college team in the State would have given the Gophers a run for their money...... Who were those guys wearing red........ it is a sad day in Husker history......

Oh well at least we have a week to get ready for Penn State.....that should go well.......and then Iowa who upset Ohio State....... Mmmmm the fact is we have to win both those games to go to a Bowl game.......... I am thinking its going to be a long post season......

Brad......... I see there is a book called Sleeping Your Way to Success....... I thought you might have written the forward in the book...... Also Sleeping your way to the Top........ uh it's for women only though.....

Good to hear things went well for most everyone. Marcus is licking his wounds, Brad is trying to stay warm, Gris is buying and selling guns. John is reminiscing about his service (thank you for your service John), Tommy is recovering from his deliveries and I was very busy today.

Tonight was the Pheasants Forever banquet. I went out to eat and see how the five items I donated did at the auction. The first one was a clock I made, I had made two that featured the PF logo. I hoped for $30...it sold for $60.....I was tickled. The second one was a "silent auction" piece. Then I had three cutting boards, that I made from left over counter top material from the last kitchen job and I cut the logo and a recess around the edge 9" x 12". I was hoping they would bring $50-60. The bidding started and went to $175....I thought, "They must be selling all of them at once......nope, they sold for $175/each! I was so happy, $525 for the cutting boards, $60 for the one clock and, at last check, the silent auction one was at $30. I came home a very happy boy.
