Morning guys.....What a concept! I might get lost though.

Cool this morning, but not bad. Headed, they say, for the mid 60s. Supposed to be a nice week, temperature wise.

I have a few things to do in the shop, so I better get to them.

I hope everyone here has a great Monday!

Hidey-ho! Was swamped immediately this morning, not what I was looking forward to. At least my 5 hours of meetings haven't started yet. Delightful day :P

Enjoy!

Good Tuesday morning.....Foggier than crap this morning. Visibility about 1/8 mile. Supposed to warm into the low 70s today. I got the little footstool/chairs assembled yesterday. Had to make a trip to the 'city' to pick up some oak dowels and some carriage bolts/locking nuts to finish them off, but got the job done. The client will do the staining and finishing. I used the CNC to cut the parts out...except for the backs and seats, those were just rectangles). had a little issue with one while I was assembling it and had to re glue it.

Computer acting up, need to restart it. I'll be back.

Howdy! The golf course opened again today since it warmed up a bit, but it will be dreary and drizzly all day, so I'll pass. The 4 hours of meetings on my calendar would kinda get in the way, too.

It's good to have a pair of loose fitting pants for Thanksgiving Day. Of course many of us are wearing our former loose fitting pants. I like the pants/shorts with the stretch band waist bands. Hard to find them suckahs anymore but I do have a few pairs.

Back to the pants thing. Funny how when you put jean shorts or pants on they fit snug and by mid day you have plumbers butt. lol

Happy Wednesday morning guys....Crisp and clear this morning. Got a few things in the shop to work on, nothing super pressing.

I know what you mean, Tommy. Pants are snug first thing in the morning and by noon, if I'm not wearing a belt, I can hardly keep them on. Maybe a government funded study to figure that out is in order.

Have a great day guys....

Well it's Wednesday here, not sure about you guys

Rain, rain, and rain. But it's not snowing so I'm not complaining.

Tomorrow I have to go by mom's house and check out the roof. Mostly the chimney. She said it was leaking before into the attached garage. Had a guy come and fix the flashing twice already and said it leaked again since. As of today it's not leaking. Since holes don't magically repair themselves it still needs to be checked out.

Hope everyone has a great day!

What? Did Gris say something? I could hear him.....

Not by much, Tommy....

You didn't save all the soil, Marcus? I thought that the hill the house sits on was from soil sample material....

Quite a bit done today and it isn't over yet. Cut 6 signs on the router, Sprayed finish on four interior doors (6 panel oak), sanded them then sprayed a second coat on. Took in an antique sewing table, sanded the top down and repaired the veneer on the legs/feet. Need to get some stain that matches so I can restain and finish those.

Dang it gets dark early 4:50 and the sun is nearly down already.

Howdy! I woke up an hour early, and my brain decided it was time to play, so I wound up laying there the entire time waiting for the alarm to go off. Hate that. I'd like to turn the clock back another hour to make up for the hour that was unjustly taken from me. But on the other hand, I'd like to turn the clock ahead an hour to hasten the arrival of nap time. I am sofa king conflicted.

Jeez, Marcus - be careful out there!

Have a good day, Gurus!

SUNNY AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES ARE SMILING. MADE MY 0800 APPOINTMENT AT THE VAMC AND WAS OUT IN HALF AN HOUR. SAME AUDIOLOGIST AS LAST TIME, ONE OF THE FEW WOMEN WHO'S SPEECH I CAN UNDERSTAND PERFECTLY. TONE, PITCH,AND TRAINING FOR TALKING TO THE DEAF MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. I'LL GET NEW AIDS NEXT MONTH.

MAY TAKE THE BUMBLEBEE FOR A RUN TO TULSA TODAY.

An Emergency Call Center worker has been fired in Toronto much to the dismay of her colleagues, who were unhappy with her dismissal. It seems that a caller dialed 911 from a cell phone stating, "I am depressed and lying on a railway line so that when the train comes I can finally meet Allah."
To which the call center employee replied,
"Remain calm and stay on the line."

Hey guys....Thursday and I've been out in the shop for a few hours, then the neighbor and I took my priest out to shoot. He bought a 22 Walther. He loves shooting. I took out a couple hand guns, 9mm and 45, and a couple long guns... 22 and a triple deuce. I got Father to shoot my 9mm. He's been reluctant to do it "Too strong!"... after he shot it, he decided it wasn't that bad. Then I got him to shoot the 22 rifle and then the triple deuce. "OOU that is going to be too strong." After he shot it, "That isn't so bad". He hit the 5/16" thick steel target and punched a hole clear through it. He couldn't believe it. "That hole was there, right?" "No, Father, you put it there." 'Oh, it is very strong."

Now I'll head back out to the shop and do a little more work before I go watch the GS play b-ball again.

Couldn't you just turn him in to the bishop. I've heard of stoning but there is nothing in the bible about shooting.

THEY WERE FAIR ABOUT IT, GAVE HIM A GUN TOO. SOUNDS LIKE THEY ALL SURVIVED. POOR MARKSMANSHIP?

THE .222 IS SUCH A GREAT ROUND, I ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE :-)

I love my triple deuce, Gris. My little brother was the same way, he always had to have at least one triple around and most of the time he carried it in the pickup with him.

GS played well, they won. Then an advisory meeting for the shop program at school. I'm now on the other side of the coin, advising them on what they need to do/change/do the same.

Came home from that and went back to the shop to stain some boards that I need to cut tomorrow on the CNC. Time for bed now.

Ha, ha Tommy. He's such a great guy. He loves to be out and around people (unlike our last one, who, all he wanted to do was sit at home and chat on the internet). He's from the Philippines and his English is a little broken (as you can probably tell).

Friday morning guys....This week has gone by fast. I've got things to do in the shop today. It's supposed to be near 80 here, quite unusual for this time of year. But back to reality tomorrow with highs in the mid 50s, it's almost that now.

I hope that everyone here has a great Friday.

Don't know if I ever mentioned it but I'm not a big fan of Florida summers. ( at least 6 months of summer temps) But I just love most of the Florida winters. (below 57 seems cold here). great day to work on the yard some. Still a mountain of clean up/fix up work ahead. Hopefully back to normal by years end. As I've also mentioned, the nursery/landscape business has been busy. Did a months worth of work and sales in two weeks. Love the $$$. Not too crazy about the work. ;)

CLOUDY, MILD, AND WINDY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES MISS THE SUNSHINE.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY; TOMORROW THE ARKIES DESCEND UPON US. DARLING WIFE ALREADY HAS A LIST OF THINGS FOR THE BIG BOYS TO DO, FREE LABOR MUST NOT BE WASTED. THESE BEING CITY KIDS, I DON'T EXPECT AS MUCH OUT OF THEM AS WE GOT OUT OF #3 GRANDSON, WHO WAS FARM RAISED :-)

This was me, probably about 15 years ago - we were down visiting my sister when they had a place in Florida, and it was sometime in January. It was about 60 degrees. I remember that the beverage cart gal rolled up wearing a parka:

Happy Friday Morning CGs!

A bit chilly here today. Still no snow. He had some very light flurries the other day but nothing major.

Sitting at the Honda dealer now. I needed an oil change and there was a small recall notice to get fixed. It's been about an hour, hopefully I'm out of here soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Busy day here. I sprayed finish on eight panels destined for signs for the parish hall. While those were drying, I worked on a sewing table. Laid on a coat of orange shellac to give the stain the orange-ish tint it needed. Got a call from the guy who said he had a small project for me to do....last Friday. Jokingly, he said, "Well, I didn't say WHICH Friday." I said, "Bring it on". So he brought me two interior doors...old and new, the new one needed to be cut down and the hinge gains cut. About that same time Father shows up with some changes to the signs we need to do...grammatical, changes to the Spanish signs. I told him the panels needed to dry some before we started cutting. So in the mean time, he 'helped' me fix the door. Called the guy and told him it was done... "Already?" "Yup", I said, "I had Father do it, so if it wrong, blame him." (He's a member of our church and knows Father as well). He laughed.

So then Father hung around as I cut 6 of the eight signs, then it was time for lunch. Rosie and I invited him to eat with us, we took him GS#1 and met Daughter at a local place. After lunch I took him home, but he told me when I got the done he would help me put them up. So I came home and finished cutting the last two panels and then cut my logo on the back of all eight.

About that time Rosie and GS#1 had been working on bringing Christmas up from the basement and putting things up. I told her we may as well put up the Christmas lights, beings GS was around to help. So he and I got 5 long strings of lights put up. While doing that I had another friend (electrician from church halL project) stop by needed help hanging a couple doors. I told him we could do it after I finished the lights and then hung the new signs at the hall. So finished up the lights and then called Father to meet us at the hall. He made all the decisions as to where the signs went....that was his 'help'

So then we headed over and cut gains in the door for the hinges. Then on to the gains on the jambs. Finished all that up just in time to go home and change clothes and go to school to watch GS#2 in the open basketball practice right before we went to the Senior Center volunteer dinner.

That is a typical Friday for ole TeeBee.
