Where is errbody?

It's noon... surely I'm not the only one awake?

Still raining here, I'm off so made a small pot of chili. Might get out later in search of a new phone and possibly new carrier. Still have a few Christmas dinner items to pick up as well.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve Eve...

It is quiet, isn't it?

Worked from home this morning and the University officially closed at 2:00 PM.

Pulled the trigger on replacement rear shocks for the 2012. They've been leaking for a while (about 15,000 miles), but recently started to feel like something was wrong. Still no codes, though.

The prices on the OEM replacement magnetic shocks have recently dropped from obscene (they were up around $2,200 at one point) to merely ridiculous ($350 or so), so I'm wondering if I should buy full sets for both the 2003 and the 2012.

I was up and out early. I've spent the day volunteering my time. Packing boxes of foodstuffs this morning....only 72 this year. This afternoon those people came and got their boxes of food and presents (if they had little ones).

Going over to the 'city' pretty soon as we need to pick up the finger food for Christmas eve. I think GS#3 needs to get a small gift for his GF.

I hope everyone else is just busy, like me. Have a great day

I didn't have much to contribute this morning so I didn't open chat. Wait a minute ...... I NEVER have anything to contribute ......

Worked on the yard ALL day. I could have this place looking great again if everybody would just leave me alone for two to three weeks .... like that is gonna happen ..... Getting there though. Still have a lot of replanting to do and a number of truckloads of mulch to spread. Then fix the roof on a shed, patch a tear in the carport and a couple of things I'm forgetting. Then I can start back on my bathroom project by the back office/shed and get a few pallets of brick moved over to where I want to lay about a 14'x 30'pad on the side of the house. Between those I have several car projects waiting. Never bored ......... And I'll die with a list of unfinished projects. Guess it won't matter much then .

Oh ya, prep the boat for a day on the water. One day prep and one day of fishing. All I need is the right day. I have everything I need to enjoy retirement. All I need is .... retirement.

BACK ON LINE AT LAST. GETTING READY FOR THE TRIBE TO DESCEND UPON US TOMORROW FOR EARLY CHRISTMAS. SOUNDS LIKE THE ARKIES MAY HAVE SOME SLIPPY STUFF TO DRIVE THRU. 21 EXPECTED, INCLUDING #1 GRANDDAUGHTERS COWBOY. GRANDDAUGHTER-IN-LAW-TO-BE IS NOT COMING, WHICH IS DISAPPOINTING AS SHE IS A FAVORITE OF MINE.
