THE EARLY CHRISTMAS AT GRISHEIM WENT WELL, EVERYBODY WAS PLEASED WITH THE LOOT AND THE GET TOGETHER.

BEST OF ALL THE KIDS AND GRANDKIDS DID ALL THE CLEANUP :-)

....got 6 inches of new fallen snow on the ground just in time...... very nice! Sun is out and all my shopping is done...... Go into Services tonight and then the big day........ Merry Christmas Everyone.......

Slept in this morning. Expecting the local crew here for brunch after while. We have church services @ 6pm this evening and 'Santa' usually finds his way here during that time.

Greetings! We're basking in the glow of shutting out the Packers, which the Vikings haven't done since 1971. Meanwhile, we have some family coming later for hors d'oeuvres and to rip through the presents under the tree. The temperature will be headed toward 0 by the time they leave.

We are getting snow today. I'm off till next year.
I hope everyone is having a good holiday. We've had a rough couple weeks here. We got back from thanksgiving and we found out the Mrs has mouth cancer. We're praying it was caught early. We'll find out more next year when she goes for some X-rays and a cat scan. Please keep us in your prayers as we keep everyone else who isn't feeling well in our prayers.

Merry Christmas to all of the gurus and their families. I am celebrating with friends as I have no family close. It is great to have friends who take care of an old coger.

The weather has been great this fall and I had the red convertible out for a drive last Sunday (the top was up). It has finally decided to get cold here. It is about 9º as I type this. It has been falling all day and it is suppose to be -20º by morning. We do have a couple inches of snow so it will be a white Christmas.

I've been spending all of my time the past couple of days with the kids and wife. It was nice.

At the in-laws now for Christmas Eve dinner and presents, a long standing tradition.

Mike, I'm truly sorry to hear about the wife's cancer and I certainly hope the doctors can treat it quickly.

I have all the baking and preparing done here that I plan to do. I'd purchased a huge wreath on clearance and some things to go on it as well, had planned this for next year. Ended up getting it done now and had it hung today. It turned out better than I'd planned. I'm bout to pour me a bourbon and put my feet up I think. BF is out in the shop with a new game he ordered, I have a new "Letty's Vette" RC car from the Fast and Furious 8 movie that was a gift I might play with . Snow got close today, one town over got flurries, they can keep them. The body shop friend and his wife are at their new(to them) farm house in Tebbett's MO for 2 weeks, they have a light dusting. Well to them it's snow, to everyone else there it's a light dusting.
Good night, sleep tight, leave those cookies out for Santa tonight. And perhaps a beer, he's probably had a long night by the time he gets to your house...

Wrapping some presents....... I don't do that well at wrapping.........or rapping......I just try to get stuff covered up a bit....... the little fancy bags with the colored paper in the top has been a real winner with me.....

Things around here are much more laid back for us ever since the recession. Back then we found it difficult to afford the luxury items so we went with the basics for gifting. We still do. This has worked out well as we don't find ourselves in the return lines anymore.
