I have just enough time to kick off the chat this morning. Headed to church and then Rosie wants to go to the 'city' to do some grocery shopping.

Nice temps, but windy as heck.

I check back in later.

Sumbitch .... This month is flying. 18th already. Went to WallyWorld last night to pick up an EverStart battery for Sue's 911. The one I bought two years ago wouldn't hold a charge. 3 year replacement, 5 year prorated so I brought it back for a new one. Johnson Controls battery. One of the batteries was labeled the same but had a different case and had MADE IN GERMANY stamped on it. I already knew the battery I bought initially sucked so what the hell. It shouldn't be any worse. Same markings on the outside. WE'll see how it goes. Still have a year left on free replacement. Went to leave the store and the S-10 wouldn't start. Nothing. Turned the key and the lights did not dim and the starter did not engage. I called Sue. She was on her way home from a festival. For the hell of it I tried some cables but that did nothing. Ended up push starting it (stick shift) to get it home. Looks like I'll have to put it on the list for Tuesday. Yesterday was freakin nuts. Dog escapes, dog fight, snake (black racer) next to the tortoise pen, squirrel running on my screen trying to figure a way to raid the bird seed from the cage cups. Hoping for a calmer day today. Dreading an issue I'll have to deal with before long. The shower faucet, you know, the single handle hot/cold water type that rests behind the wall? It has a drip. A continuous f@(%ing drip. Well, it's a new day. Let's get on with it.

SEMI-SUNNY AND COLD IN THE NATIONS AND THE WIND IS JUS' BLOWING ALL OVER THE PLACE. VARIOUS PROBABILITIES OF RAIN PREDICTED ALL NEXT WEEK. PROMISES, PROMISES---

MAJOR ITEM ON THE AGENDA TODAY: GO TO WALLY-WORLD AND GET DOG FOOD. THE EXCITEMENT JUST NEVER STOPS AROUND HERE :-) UNLIKE FLORIDA WHERE NOTHING EVER HAPPENS---
I WANT TO BE IN OKLAHOMA WHEN THE END OF THE WORLD COMES; WE'RE ALWAYS 20 YEARS BEHIND TIMES.

Greetings! I am pretty sure that if there was an Olympic event for sleep-in today, I'd be standing on the podium. My time could likely only have been beaten by someone in a coma. Meanwhile, the weather geniuses are calling for 2 inches of ICE later. That should be, uh, interesting.

Hope your day isn't interesting, Gurus!

Aren't you glad you paid for the PB service now Marcus?

Back from the 'city' and shopping. I turned on the water and am running the sprinklers...even though it is a bit windy.

I ran up to Home Depot to get some more ice melt stuff, just in case. In their wisdom, they have switched over to their spring stock - there are plenty of lawn mowers, BBQ's and bags of grass seed and fertilizer, but no ice melt. So I had to run across the street to Menard's, where they apparently are less optimistic about the immediate onset of spring. I did avoid the plumbing department of both stores like the plague.

77 degrees for a high today...Feb 18? A bit breezy, but nice and warm. I installed the seat bolster reinforcement of the passenger seat of the Corvette.

The lawn is happy after the drink we gave it today.

Two of my dogs wake me daily between 07:00 and 07:15. Schatzie jumps on the side of the bed and Snoopy bites my fingers. Come on Dad. Time to wake up. If I roll over Schatzie will paw my back. Have to be to bed by midnight if I want to get 7 hours of sleep.

Evening Gurus,

Warmed up a little today but still snow on the ground. Supposed to be an unseasonable 56 tomorrow and 61 on Tuesday. Wow.

Spent the morning helping RR#1 with her school project. In my opinion way too ambitious for a 4th grader, but not like it matters since they don't get grades anymore, anyway....

Hope everyone had a great day!
