Good morning, all.

At least for me, turning 50 was a big deal and quite a time sink: almost all of May was spent on either the vacation (from the 5th to 17th) or preparing for/recovring from the party (on the 27th). So, please accept my apologies for my quietness on Guru.

Hey guys....Happy birthday to Tommy’s mom and to John! Good luck to Marcus on his big race day. I hope Letty has the plumbing, at her house, issues fixed up...backed up sewer lines just plain suck.

Well, I finished up the sheet rock yesterday. Textured the ceiling, went the the box store and looked at organizer solutions, flooring and picked up the trim. Was waiting around to decide if the ceiling needed another coat when the other SIL calls and asks if I wanted to go to the Royals game. So I cleaned up to go watch the worst ass-kicking I think I’ve ever watched a team take......my Royals just plain suck this year. Starting pitching sucks, bullpen sucks and our offense sucks.....but we had a good time anyway. SIL picked up really good tickets late for a song. Three years ago the same tickets would have sold for 10 to 15 times as much. Tickets are reasonable when we are losing.

Today #3s oldest is having a birthday party/sleepover.....6, eleven year old girls is not MY idea of a good time. So I’m headed over to,the other daughter/SIL for the night.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hot and humid here.
Happy 50th John! Nice photos!
We had our dream vaca in the works for my 50th on the 30th but the nursing home Medicaid mess ruined my plans and we were unable to boik anything because of her and that mess. We stayed home in the pool with a couple friends and a quiet dinner afterward. 50 so far has me a bit depressed although I’m trying to be positive. It having my dream plans ruined would’ve helped.
Oh well, hope everyone’s having a good weekend so far. No work around our house this weekend at least by me. Tired from all the work last weekend and the bday backed up sewer incident. Enough excitement

John and Yvelis (sp?) it looks like quite a classy, good time. Happy 50th. You got some catchin up to do. ;)

Letty, also happy 50th. Do not worry. There are times coming in your future that will more than make up for the Medicaid madness you unfortunately must endure now. It's the dips that will give you greater appreciation of the finer things down the road. Things are looking up.

Marcus will like this one. How do you eat an elephant?

Answer: One bite at a time.

Happy 50th, John - very cool pics, looks like you certainly did it up right!

I attempted to play golf this morning - sprinkles turned into a deluge with thunder and lightning, so we got rained out after 4 holes. Oh well, we got a rain check to use under more favorable conditions soon.
