Hidey-ho! Looks like it is time for......

Happy Birthday, Tommy!

Meanwhile, our string of absolutely delightful days is coming to an end - rain is moving in later this morning. I guess we need some, so no biggie.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Morning guys....Me too Tommy. It's really hard to get my GSs away from those freaking phones, hardly ever go outside and do things.

Well it's going to be even warmer today, 103 they say. Hoping that the humidity is down from where it has been. We could sure use some of that rain Brad.

I'm installing cabinets this morning, then giving blood at noon. Seeing a lady about some cabinets after that and making a computer call sometime this afternoon as well. Busy day lined up

HIPPO BIRDIE TWO TOMMY :-)
I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T TRADE MY PALEOLITHIC CHILDHOOD FOR WHAT KIDS HAVE TODAY. HAVING BOTH COUNTRY AND CITY GRANDKIDS REALLY EMPHASIZES THE DIFFERENT TENDENCIES.

THE SUN IS SHINING ON THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, WE'LL BOIL THIS AFTERNOON AND FRY TOMORROW.

THE BBD & TWINS WERE GRAZING AT THE FRONT STEPS WHEN I GOT UP. GOOD THING I PUT DEER OFF ON DW'S FLOWERS. IF THE CAT DOOR WAS BIG ENOUGH THEY'D BE IN THE HOUSE :-0

BAD NEWS DAY, MY GUTLESS SON NOW HAS LIVER CANCER. SURPRISINGLY, THEY SAY IT'S NOT THE SAME CANCER THAT LED TO THE REMOVAL OF HIS COLON. LOOKS GOOD FOR TREATMENT, THEY PLAN TO REMOVE ABOUT A QUARTER OF HIS LIVER AND NEARBY LYMPH NODES AND THEN DO CHEMOTHERAPY. BAD, BUT COULD BE WORSE.

AND DARLING WIFE'S COLORADO GETAWAY WENT SOUR WHEN THE COLLEGE FRIEND FROM TULSA THAT WENT WITH HER PROGRESSED FROM MEMORY PROBLEMS INTO FULL DEMENTIA, COMPLETE WITH HALLUCINATIONS. FRIEND IS NOW WITH HER DAUGHTER IN DENVER. HOW AND IF THEY GET HER HOME TO TULSA IS TBD.

EXPLETIVE DELETED!

Happy birthday Tommy. Here's to many more!

Gris, sorry about all the crummy news you got. Here's hoping for good news soon. Considering the issues you've mentioned, I'd say you deserve some good news.

Happy birthday, Tommy.

Gris, very sorry to hear about the bad news. Hopefully it's something they can treat.

It's been a busy couple of days off for me. Took the kids to Six Flags amusement park on Tuesday and we went to a baseball game last night. Spent the day with RR#2 today while the wife took the other one to the American Girl doll store in Chicago.

Also took Mom to the dealership yesterday and she bought herself a new Honda CRV. Very nice car.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Sorry to hear the bad news Gris.....Payers said for you and yours.

Cabinets installed, blood donated and then went out to the county fair for the free BBQ supper...I ate too much. Story of my life.

Came back into town and helped daughter trim some trees out of her fence, then came home and trimmed the driveway of the overgrown grass. Now just chilling.

Got this message from Marcus.

Quote:
Got about half the miles in we thought we would today....it was hot and the car was running great but we got behind this morning when I discovered I had left the gas cap on the pump back in Bumsuck Oregon..... damn..... so I spent some time running around looking for something that would fit but no joy...... I called the people where we filled up and they had it and are sending it home for us. That was very cool of them. so we are driving with out a gas cap.... and no check engine light came on...... so no worries there...... So we took US 20 out of Mountain Home ID on east to Idaho Falls..... if there is an end to the earth we just fell off it...... 2 claims to fame..... the Craters of the Moon National park, which was kinda cool and Atomic City......were some dumbass who was pissed over a buddy sleeping with his wife blew up a Nuclear Reactor and killed himself and 2 others..... those dudes were so hot they wrapped them in Lead and buried them in a large concrete vault..... still the only three that have been lost to a nuclear reactor mess in the US. That happened in 61. See what fun stuff we are seeing...... Anyway we stopped early at a Holiday Inn Express and then went over to this 50's diner and had steak and eggs with a haystack of hash browns..... damn good eats..... Tomorrow to Jackson Hole and beyond...... Nell was running about 185 to 190 today.... I don't think that is to hot for the 283.......
