Good Morning CGs!
We've had pretty decent weather here the past few days. A little too warm for my liking during the day but the evening hours in the low 70s was perfect. I love driving with the windows open and feeling the breeze when it's that temp. Doesn't get much better than that. I was helping RR#1 with her summer homework packet today. She was working on multiplying fractions and it took me a few damn minutes to remember how to do everything myself. I went from doing calculus fluidly to forgetting how to do 4th grade math. Unreal. But not many people do math on a regular basis any more. And my phone has a calculator  Hope everyone has a great day! |

Morning guys....not much going on here. going to be much cooler today with a chance for some moisture, highs in the mid 80s...speaking of 80s.

DARLING WIFE AND I SPENT MOST OF THE DAY YESTERDAY WITH SON IN THE HOSPITAL AT FAYETTEVILLE. HE HAS LIVER CANCER. THIS IS NOT THE PREVIOUS COLON CA SPREAD, BUT A NEW CROP. THERE WAS AN AMAZING OUTPOURING OF SUPPORT FROM THE PEOPLE HE WORKS WITH, OFFERS OF LIVER TRANSPLANTS. JOHN TYSON CALLED IN FAVORS TO GET CLIFF ADMITTED TO THE MAYO CLINIC, IS PAYING TO FLY HIM UP THERE AND COVERING ALL EXPENSES ABOVE INSURANCE PAYOUTS. THEY LOVE SON AS MUCH AS WE DO. ditto on the math issues - and add in the common core crap they're trying to push off now to confuse it all.
I remember the college calculus, trig and all that, plus chemistry. I'd like to go back but heck I'd have to start at the 2nd grade level at this point. I remember ZERO of that crap. Got the huge bus out and sent home to the school yesterday, the boat is ready to pick up today and on to other wrap jobs this week. Boss is on vaca next week and hopefully some rest around here for a while. I have a side job to do this weekend and figure in some pool time in between along with a garage cleanout. Need to have a yard sale but my hatred for the general bargaining public doesn't allow for it much. |
