Morning guys.....slept in, but headed to the shop pretty quick. I scored some nice lumber for the top of the dog kennel at Menards yesterday. Was really surprised at what I was able to find there.

Going to be in the middle 80s again today.....got a little more rain last night and they say we could get more today-tonight. We'll take what we get, when we get it.

Howdy! We're in clean-up mode after MIL's big birthday party yesterday, lots to do. Good thing we were able to send care packages home with a lot of folks, otherwise we'd be eating fried chicken, etc. for weeks. I have quite a bit of beer left over, also - I'm sure I'll figure out what to do with that.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Had a nice trip south to see Ma.... After all the miles in the Fiddysix which is a good car to drive....the Corvette seemed like a rocket ship.....power and smooth...... a joy to drive also...... made the 160 miles in 2 hours and 20 minutes so I was moving right along....... One thing that helped is they used to have all these slow downs around the bypasses on US 81..... 55 mph....now they are all at 70 mph......and Nebraska portion of the road was 65 mph but went to 70.........Kansas was at 70 already I believe ......

I spent time Chadwicking the Silver bullet the night before...and knew that would bring rain but it did not......got down and back and in the shop and then it rained........ I am living right........

Today I must mow mow mow the yard....... but first a wee nap........

REALLY? They raised the speed around those little towns and the main road too? FINALLY!

Got the top rough cut and glued up. Tomorrow I'll cut to size, routed, sanded, stained and, hopefully, finished.

I then went out to the garage to clean the inside of the pickup and gave the Caddy a spit bath.

Took the kids "camping" in the backyard last night. They enjoyed that. I try to do that a couple times a year for them. My back didn't seem to enjoy it as much as they did. Oh well.

Drove the Corvette today. Everything has been going well for the past few weeks since I replaced the ignition switch and starter. I was doing about 20 miles an hour and coasting and the motor shut off. Son of a ¢^π|×€^¢¥✓®%. Restarted no problem. It threw a code for the EST but that doesn't mean much. Most likely because the ECM didn't see the RPM or pulse. I'm going to pull the cap off later and see if there is any arcing or carbon tracing.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

HAD ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN TODAY ON TOP OF YESTERDAY;S INCH AND A HALF. MORE PREDICTED TONIGHT AND TOMORROW. NO MOWING FOR A WHILE :-)

SHOW WENT PRETTY WELL, IT WAS WITH AN OUTFIT WE DON'T USUALLY WORK WITH, SO PROCEDURES WERE STRANGE. PEOPLE WERE BRINGING IN THINGS TO SELL AND I SNAGGED A JAP TYPE 44 CARBINE ON THE CHEAP AND THEN RESOLD IT TO A DEALER AND BOUGHT A NICE LITTLE RANDAL KNIFE WITH THE PROFIT. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DOUBLE MY MONEY ON IT NEXT SHOW, I REALLY BOUGHT IT RIGHT.

THE COON WARS RESUME TONIGHT.

Maybe you should have kept that 44 carbine.
