Good morning, all.

Weirdness in my life: for some reason, I've been playing a lot of old Journey recently. My wife thinks I "sensed a disturbance in the force" because yesterday Steve Perry released the first single from what will be his first album in 24 years. Hmmm …

HI JOHN---

NO DISTURBANCE HERE, JUST MASSIVE HUMIDITY. EVERY WINDOW IN THE HOUSE IS FOGGED UP. MAYBE A LITTLE MORE RAIN THIS AFTERNOON. NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, NEED TO GET THE BUMBLEBEE OUT AND RUN IT A LITTLE.

QUESTION: WHY DOES SOMEONE WHO NO LONGER WORKS FOR THE GOVERNMENT NEED A SECURITY CLEARANCE?

Ah......glorious rain.....had another 3/4" last night...... loving it....... Today the ADT guys are coming to fix our security panel ......the radio frequency's have changed so our cell phone communications with the panel is not working so out connection to ADT is not working.........it has been about 3 weeks since it quit and we are just now getting someone out....... that's not working for me....... ADT claims their tech guys are so busy putting in new systems they can't hardly get anyone free...... really?

So who is liable if someone breaks in and steals all our cool stuff while the thing is broke? They said they would have someone there today........ thank you.......

Onward and upward my fellow travelers..........

Morning gang.
Looks like rain here for the rest of the week. Not much going on here.

RIP Aretha Franklin. She passed away at the age of 76.

RIP sweet lady of soul - losing all the greats
More rain here as well, hated to get up and leave the house as it was making for some good sleep. It cleared off by the time I got to the office and it's now hot and steamy outside. Icky.
Must be a thing with all the should-be retiring artists. Ace Frehley just came out with an album. One track was posted, I din't care much for it

Good Afternoon CGs!

TB, sorry to hear about the grandson's crash. Glad he's ok and hope he learns from it.

Well, summer vacation is officially over. Kids started back to school yesterday. I think they had mixed feelings. But today they were in good spirits at the prospect of seeing their friends again.

Vacation is over for me, too. Back to work today. I'm not in such good spirits

Been buying and selling some tools quite a bit lately. Business is good.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Slept in till 09:00. I've been suffering form dragging ass syndrome lately. Combination of the heat, my allergies and my aching body, especially my back. Funny, I slept in late , it's 03:30 PM and my eyes are calling for a nap. Should I accept the call?

Hey guys....up and around early and over to the 'city' to put another coat of mud on. Homeowner did all the sanding...that's great, saved me and them my time. I was over there for a couple hours and headed back home.

Marcus, I'm not really sure exactly what happened, but I called up to where the car is stored and they told me that the entire passenger side is crushed the side curtain air bags were deployed. 2007 CTS, just isn't worth very much....the worst of it is, We just spent $4k having the motor redone (timing chains, heads) with the idea that he'll be able to drive it for 50k or so.

Oh, now that #1 GS is at school, we are getting the house he was living in ready to sell. Daughter inherited the house from a client she took care of for years. When he died (96 years old) he left her the house and the lot next door (which has the 14 x 22 garage I use for my storage) to her. With all the help we have giving her and the boys, she has deeded the lot with the garage over to us, and we will get some cash when she sells the house to pay us back....sort of. She, and the other two boys live with her significant other, in the house he inherited when his mother passed away. So she doesn't need it as much as she could use the money. If #1 GS comes home, he'll just have to find someplace else to live. So we have been working on that as well.

And I was whining about my one and only. I remember, tee. It was a growth experience for me. What's the saying? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger? You must be superman. ;)
