Patient to doctor: "Every time I touch here it hurts."

Doctors response: "Then don't touch it."

That's how I feel about watching or reading the news. It's painful. Best I don't touch it.

SEMI-SUNNY AND MILD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, THE CHEROKEES ARE READY FOR SUMMER TO BE OVER. KIDS ARE ALL BACK IN SCHOOL, SEEMS LIKE THEY START EARLIER EVERY YEAR.

THE TOUTED RAIN NEVER MATERIALIZED SO I'D BETTER WATER THE POTTED PLANTS BEFORE DW GETS HOME TOMORROW. BUT FIRST I MUST DECIDE ON A BREAKFAST VENUE. BOOMERANG, IHOP, OR WHEELHOUSE, THAT IS THE QUESTION :-)

Happy Friday! Glad that it has arrived, though it is raining, and I don't get to sleep in tomorrow due to an early golf tournament. The state fair is in full swing, and I plan to not attend for about the 30th year in a row. But some of the new food looks good:

Have a good day, yawlz!

Getting ready to head out to the track for my Friday night make up race....

Q1 starts at 6 but because of DC area traffic I got to leave work at 1 ish to make it there in time to get everything set up...

No big changes, just wanting to go down the track first qualifying pass (we only get 1 this race) with a decent time and not be in the bottom of the field again for eliminations.

Good luck with the race, Will.

Rain here but luckily I cut the grass already. I get a reprieve from fix-it stuff today. Although I do need to change the whole house water filter. That's always a major pia. Maybe it can wait

Hope everyone has a great day!

Got the internet going again back in the house..... somebody digging I guess screwed things up and then it all had to be reset to get it going again...... was surprising how much we couldn't do anything with out it..... we watch Netflix and other streaming services and it forced us to like talk to each other..... and read books..... geez....

Hot out today....hotter tomorrow..... more shop rearranging..... and stuff..... getting stuff ready to tailgate in the Fiddysix at football games this fall.... need a couple of old fashioned wood folding chairs..... Got the old Coke cooler and an old picnic basket.... going retro baby..... oh yeah....

I wrote a post this morning and thought I'd submitted it....but I don't see it......not even sure what I wrote. I slept in bit then decided to go out to the shop to work on some things. It warmed up a bunch today, mid 90s. After a week or more of high 70s to mid 80s, it was hot!

This afternoon, I swapped plug and plug wires on 007, only 52k on the clock, but was concerned after john had issues with his. I replaced them with AC/Delco Professional parts I bought from Amazon....about the same price as Rock Auto, but free shipping and I get 5% on my Amazon card, so they ended up quite a bit cheaper. Took me about an hour to swap them out

This evening, Rosie and I rode our bikes down to school. They had sports night where they introduced all the fall sports athletes....Two GSs playing football (one MS and one HS). Nice bike ride too.

Planning on taking 007 to visit FIL next weekend. We have a basketball goal and backboard to take to SIL, but it fits in the back of 007. Who says there's no room in a Corvette?

I hope you all had a great Friday.
