SUNNY AND 47 DEGREES THIS MORNING, THE BIG WEDDING THIS AFTERNOON. THE REHEARSAL WAS LIKE A CHINESE FIRE DRILL; HOPE THEY DO BETTER TODAY :-)
THE SERVICE IS GREEK ORTHODOX AND PASSING STRANGE TO A SMALL TOWN BAPTIST BOY FROM TEXAS. FIRST TIME INSIDE AN ORTHODOX CHURCH FOR ME, THE ICONS WERE VERY INTERESTING, EASY ENOUGH TO LINK TO A TIME WHEN MOST COULD NOT READ. THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE SEEMS TO HAVE FINALLY RECONCILED HIMSELF TO THE MARRIAGE; THAT MADE THE WARRIOR PRINCESS HAPPY AND ME TOO. HE OUGHT TO BE DAMN PROUD OF THAT GIRL. PLAN IS TO RON IN TULSA AT THE LODGE WHERE THE RECEPTION IS HELD, LOTS OF OUR KIN EXPECTED TO BE THERE. WE'LL TAKE A CORVETTE UP THERE IF DARLING WIFE DOESN'T TAKE TOO MUCH BAGGAGE. |

Have a good time Grisman.......every now and then I like a little High Church I call it......like in a big Cathedral......enjoy....
Meanwhile I am headed in to a Husker makeup game for the first game of the season that got rained out......we talked some high school team from Daytona Beach FL......with a promise of an 800 large donation to their athletic department...... nothing is a done deal for the Huskers this year.....we should beat them though.......Bethune - Cookman.....never heard of them.... Sun is out and going to be 70 degrees so am taking the much polished GS in to the game to meet up with Uboy......... Have a nice fall day Guru's... |

Good morning, all. Chilly, rainy, and windy in the Philadelphia area—we're experiencing our first Noreaster of the year. Sorry I've haven't been around much recently—things have been crazier than usual at work. Relatively quiet on the car front. The (magnificent) LS3 in the 2012 was idling a little rougher than usual. I read up on it and one of the first suggestions was to put some Techron in it. I love when the fixes are that easy—the idle was back to normal after I dumped about half a bottle into the gas tank. Best wishes to the new family, Gris. |

Good Afternoon CGs!
Had a nice big family breakfast with the kids. After that I got the grass cut and for a haircut, myself. Wife took the kids to a trunk or treat show and then RR#2 is getting a haircut, as well. Gris, good luck with the festivities. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Hey guys...slept in, but headed to the 'city' for things right away after getting around. Got home, unloaded and then realized I forgot to pickup the paint I needed, so I turned around and headed back to get it. Got home just in time to get ready for church. Big zero on getting anything done today.
Sure hope the wedding came off with a hitch, Gris. John, I run a bottle of Techron through all my cars on a regular basis. Get to feeling better Tommy. You better not get that car dirty, Marcus. |
