Holy moly.....thought I better get in here......what day is it anyway......

Cold cloudy but no wind..... was doing running some errands and the brake pedal on Lil Red our 99 Stepside started to go mush......then it went all the way to the floor......I was by downtown so pulled it in to the fixit shop and left it there and walked home......took 40 minutes...... takes 5 to drive it......

Have a real nice day Guru's.......

Greetings! We had a heat wave, it almost got up to 30. So I broke down and shoveled the sidewalk. The little bit of snow we have should melt on Wednesday or Thursday - there are rumors of a warm-up.

I imagine the Huskers score kept you warm yesterday, Marcus. The Goofers even played well yesterday. Today has been full of atrocious football - the Lions were pathetic against da Bears, and the Dolphins look quite inept in the 2nd game.

Enjoy the rest of your day, Gurus!

Hey guys....I slept in a bit then went out to the shop to get a few things done. Rosie and I bought a turkey the other day and She got up at 5 this morning and put it in the oven then she came back to bed. We had #2 and the boys over for a warm-up for Tgiving. Then at about 2 we jumped in the pickup to take #1 GS back up to school (2 hour drive) we stopped in a town along the way and picked up another student that needed a ride back. The snow had been coming down all day, but the roads were clear. Got a little heavier as we went north, but temps stayed about the freezing point. Dropped the kids off at their dorms and didn't waste any time heading home. Everything was fine for the first 40 miles, then the roads turned white...more like frosty rather than snow packed. Went through the town where my sis lives, but decided to just keep on trucking... good thing as it continued to get worse. The roads got really slushy and slick. It got pretty dicey in some spots. The two hour drive home ended up almost 3, and I had 4 wheel drive auto on most of the way.

Evening gang. I'm in Missouri. Tomorrow is 1st day at new job. Had to leave the Mrs. back to finish packing the house. Looks like the way things are going we will be moving over Thanksgiving weekend.
Time for bed. Chat again tomorrow.

Got some good news from my cousin in California. She said they talked to the owner of the place where their RV was stored, and he was able to move it to a place where it was on dirt and nothing flammable very close. A police officer was by there and verified that it has survived.....now if they can get some good news about their house. Verified that houses two blocks over from them were burned.
