Good moaning.

Back to shorts wearing weather today. Warmer and muggier. Washed the Vettes and the 928 yesterday. All have issues to address. Some minor, some more intense. 2 of them are LOW on gas. So low I would't even drive them to the gas station. I'm going to get 5 gallons and splash them both before I ride them up and get a 1/2 a tank for each. Have to get a batch of fishing rods ready for next weekend. We're going to the Keys for a week of hanging out and dropping lines. Boat is pretty well ready. Couple of minor details and then get some fresh fuel. That REC fuel cost over a buck more a gallon over unleaded and the boat has a 50 gallon tank. Probably only need 20 gallons or so though. Took "GO BABY" (my tag) on my black 911, uptown to the bank for a good run yesterday. Most of it was in second and third gear but got to run up into 4th for a few short spurts. Still runs great and a fun car to drive. Sue's 911 is also running well. Her tag is "FLY BABY". Enjoy you day whatever it brings. Hopefully no negative surprises.

Hello from Snowmageddon!
I was able to get the needed taske done at work this week so I'm home for the weekend. Last month, I took the battery out of the rider for winter storage. A couple days ago I realized I'd not gotten the snow blower out before immobilizing the mower. So, last night, in the dark, I had to get a new battery for the rider, put it in, and move it to get the blower out.
Got it done, changed oil on the blower, put in a new plug and fired it up!
You may have noticed I said NEW battery. That's because while carrying the old battery to the garage, I opened the door, it jammed on something behind it, causing me to drop the battery onto the mat inside. The battery split, sending acid all around. Of course it came up with baking soda, but I failed to realize it was on my new pair of Duluth Trading jeans. So now I've got a pair of brand new, worn once, jeans with acid holes peppered up to the knees on my pants.
So, what's the point of all this you ask?
Again, I've been shown another example of why my brother moved to Arizona. No mowers, and snow blower are something visitors talk about.

I hope you folks all have a great weekend. I'm gonna get a beer.

Morning guys...slept in this morning. Was awakened by someone out in our drive with a snow blower....whomever that was...Thank you! Probably a birthday present!

Looked out back and noticed that the snow build-up on the awning is almost alarming. It is a heavy, wet snow and on the north end of the awning, where it meets the shop, it's built up to over three feet deep. The rest has "only" about 15" on it....I think I see a little work in my future today.

Not much else going on today. Have a great day!

I was thinking the same thing Marcus. Fashion jeans.

My freezer still has lots of fish and seafood. Sue and I typically catch a shipload of fish but only less than a dozen or less will make the cut to the fish cleaning table. There is always an unspoken fish of the day competition at the cleaning station between all the fisherman at the resort. You catch a good one and EVERYBODY is talking about it.

In Heron news. Three days now and no visit from the Great Blue to my Koi pond. My fishing line fence and placement of conch shells on his perches seems to have done the trick. (for now)

BEEN A TOTALLY DISMAL DAY HERE, COLD, WET, WINDY. ONLY VENTURED OUT TO A LOCAL FUND RAISER FOR A LADY WITH CANCER.

THOSE REVOLT'N FRENCHMEN HAVE DESTROYED 60% OF THE SPEED CAMERAS IN THE COUNTRY. YES!

AFTER TWO SOLID YEARS OF ANTI-TRUMP HYSTERIA I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MEGA-MASS HISSY-FIT OVER GINSBURG'S REPLACEMENT :-)

STARTED A GOOD BOOK, THE MEMOIRS OF HERMAN BALCK. HE WAS LIKELY THE BEST GERMAN FIELD COMMANDER OF WWII. EQUAL IF NOT SUPERIOR TO ROMMEL, HERMAN KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT AND AVOIDED PUBLICITY AFTER THE WAR, DID NOT PUBLISH HIS STORY UNTIL 1981 AND THEN IN GERMAN ONLY. IT HAS NOW BEEN TRANSLATED AND PUBLISHED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF THE US ARMY.
AND LIKE ROMMEL HE SEEMS TO BE A VERY GOOD WRITER.
