MORNING HERE TOO---

CLOUDY AND COOL, ANOTHER GRAY DAY, THEY SAY IT WILL RAIN SOME MORE LATER TODAY.

GOT MY ERRANDS RUN YESTERDAY, SO THERE'S NOTHING TO INTERFERE WITH A NAPUS MAXIMUS.

I was AWOL yesterday. We got up early so we could say our goodbyes to #3 before she headed off to work. Nobody else was up as they all had the day off for MLK day. So we just jumped on the road to home.

One stop about half way home and we made good time. Once home we unloaded the pickup, put stuff away and then I went over to a friends' house as they had a Lazy Boy for sale. I bought it and brought it home. We took my old one over to #2, as it was better than one she had. Then it was time to go watch #3 GS play ball. Rosie made a pot of chili and while she getting that ready, I went out to the shop to work on a project for a neighbor who needed it done today and the parts I needed were there, stuck in the door, when we got home. While working on that, I got a phone call from the folks I'm doing a kitchen for, asking me to come over and give them some advice on a couple things. It was 9:30 by the time I got home. I had a bowl of the chili and nearly fell asleep eating it, so went to bed shortly there after.

Up at normal time this morning as Rosie had work. Tomorrow we both have to be in the 'city' by 8am. She has a meeting, I have a dental check.

Today I'm headed to the shop to get some things done. The weather is not great, 26 now, which doesn't sound horrible, but the wind is blowing about that much too, making the wind chill quite uncomfortable. And they say some snow might be in the offing today. Further north (Marcus?) is under winter storm warnings and blizzard warnings.

Stay warm and secure folks.

Oh, and yesterday was the second anniversary of my little brothers' death. And I was thinking, Brad's death and Bill's came on similar days......two years apart. Am I wrong?

Yep they called off school here in anticipation of the big storm....of course it is doing nothing outside right now but around noon it will hit us I'm told. The wife is enjoying her free day..... lucky duck.....

Well both Brad and Bill would want us to carry on the tradition here and so we must. I think we need a gone but not forgotten sticky that pays tribute to those that have gone on before us. How bout it Andy?

Have a safe day Guru's....

I agree. As time goes on one day we will all join our brothers and sisters that have moved on. Our plans can change in a minute. Windy day in SoFlo. No boating for us. One of the guys staying at the resort caught a 6+ ft Bull shark from shore last night. I'd say 60 to 70 lbs. Sue spent several hours cleaning and filleting it and shared the catch. Hoping to get at least a couple of days fishing in. I'm a fair weather fisherman now. No more rough stuff for me. Staying in a condo makes me appreciate my home. Condo living would drive me nuts. Not used to just sitting around. I bitch about it but I've got a good thing going. No. I have a great thing going. I'll still take our cruises while I can though. As long as Sonny Boy will pet sit. Without him we'd have to take separate vacations. Cross that bridge when we come to it. Just to let you know, I appreciate your inputs.

Yeah.....the pet thing can be a hindrance.... told my wife a big land barge and we can take them with us.....she was not amused.....

So if things don't change around here do we need to have a Last Man's Club? Lets all chip in to buy a bottle of very expensive whiskey and the last guy or gal gets to drink it..... send me the money and I will buy the bottle and be sure to keep it safe....no really you can trust me....

Hey guys. My sister and BIL called me this morning, said they were in town for sis's dental appointment, and wanted to stop by and see me for a few. So about 11:30 they stopped. The weather is getting worse, and they living north west of here an hour, they needed to get on the road. About an hour later I get another call from my sis, they are in the town north of us and they stopped at a store to pick something up and my BIL had fallen hit his head, and they took him to the local hospital. I told sis to keep me informed...about an hour later she called back and my BIL passed away. They never got his heart started again....Doctor said he thought he had a massive heart attack and that's why he fell. not that the fall and hitting his head caused it.........Two years and one day since my little brother. Beginning to hate January.

We had a really nice, but short visit this morning, never thinking it would be the last time we'd talk.....

Tee I'm so very sorry to hear of this. I can't imagine and lost for words. Prayers for everyone.

Finally getting the side job wrapped up tonight I've been working on. They had very little changes last night and I got them all so I uploaded all my documents. Haven't heard from anyone today so I call and "one more", naturally. The proofer told me wrong on something so I guess fix that, invoice it and done. I'm thinking this will be my last side job for them, the paper I used to work for. Ad director lady came into my office last week showing her a$$ and said some things she shouldn't have and I'm still pissed off.
Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

I believe the almighty stepped in and had them visit me today for a reason.... My sis said, when they stopped, that she "felt the need to stop today and see me". Yup. Just as a point of reference, My BIL was a retired ordained minister, I'm 100% sure he is residing in heaven tonight.

WHAT A BOLT FROM THE BLUE!

SO SORRY TEE---

PREMONITION, PRECOGNITION, SOMETIMES THEY HAPPEN I THINK.

THE DAY MY MOTHER DIED I GOT AN STRONG URGE TO GO BY THE NURSING HOME AND SEE HER. I WENT BY AFTER WORK; SHE SEEMED MORE "AT HERSELF" THAN USUAL AND KNEW WHO I WAS. WENT HOME, SAT DOWN TO SUPPER AND THEY CALLED TO SAY SHE WAS DEAD.
TOTAL SHOCK.
