It is a day like any other day ..... Or is it?

Many days I enjoy the mundane because surprises can either fill or diminish the days potential. But surprises are sure to come. I've had my fair share of surprises. Some earth shattering and rarely, a really, really nice surprise. I don't look for them or expect them. I guess that's why they call them a surprise. Let's see what today brings. If it's just a routine, run of the mill day, I'll consider that a bonus.

How can I play a John Denver song without thinking of BillH? The mind is strange that way. Well, it's my mind so it's just strange .......

Morning guys...Well, the weather bufoons finally hit one right! Woke up to snow coming down...but no wind.....well, that has started too now. We have already received about 6-8" of the white stuff and it's still coming down pretty good. Rosie and I have already scooped the driveway and sidewalks once...just don't want it to get too far ahead of us. Church services have been called off for today...and probably tomorrow.

My streaming TV is working out really well so far. I swapped from our cable service to their streaming service the day after the fiber got hooked up. And I signed up for the trial with DirectTV Now, and it was pretty good and it's $25 cheaper than the local company. The interface is very similar too. After the week trial on DirectTV, I signed up with Hulu + Live, $10 cheaper/month than DirectTV Now, About the same service/quality as the other two, but the interface SUCKS! I couldn't get to where I wanted to go, easily, so I've canceled that service and actually signed up for DirectTV Now and yesterday, canceled the local service as of this coming Friday. Funny thing, The local stream buffered occasionally, but we really haven't seen any buffering on the other services.

I'm headed out to the shop to piddle around. Stay safe, warm and out of trouble folks. I think Marcus is probably in the warm weather of Flo-da by now....sorry you're missing this storm.

Well, again the weather buffoons were right for a change...the wind started howling blowing the white stuff all around and the fast mover, did just that, moved quickly through area and the sun came out about 3pm, just like they were predicting. Now the wind has subsided a bit. We scooped the drive and sidewalks three more times.

I worked in the shop most of the afternoon. Rosie suggested I build the bench she wanted in the kitchen, so after about 20 minutes of drawing, I went out to the shop and started on it. I got all the pieces created and most of the joinery done. I'll try to assemble everything tomorrow.

Oh, we ended up with about 11" of white stuff.
