Good morning!

I'm not one of those that usually wakes with a smile. I ease into the day till I am fully awake. One of those "Don't talk to me till I've had my coffee." types. And even after that, please don't talk too much. Well March has arrived. March has always been one of my favorite months. No real reason except for maybe it signals a change. Soon we will have a change in the day when we spring forward. I usually prefer that time set as well. Let me see what I can uncover today to fill my heart with joy and gladness. I want to happy today, damn it.

I read the date wrong. As Janis once said "It's all the same fucking day, man."

It's good to touch the green green grass of home. Alright, brown patchy grass but it's home.

That song reminded me what a great time it was to grow up in. 1966 (For the most part. Vietnam was on.) I miss that America. Believe it or not I was against the war but pro military. I would serve my country if called upon. I got a draft card # but it was withdrawn with the beginning of the all volunteer force in 1973. I volunteered in Nov. 1973 and had orders to Thailand where the B-52's were loaded and sent to deliver their payload. My orders were cancelled and I was sent to Ramstein A.B. Germany where we were a drop off for the Southeast Asian munitions being sent to other places around the world. My job was part of the evacuation effort. I was there for the end of the conflict.

I'm so confused. This has been a weird week already, I had no clue what today even was then saw this and had to go back and look again at my phone . I thought "march?" WTF?
It was sunny and 70 here yesterday, I went outside to look at a vehicle for a customer and didn't want to come back in. Would've given anything to stayed home on my back porch in the sun and just tried to calm my mind. Today, had to go out and look at another vehicle and couldn't get in quick enough. Freezing out there and the lady I was talking to dropped the "S" word. Figures. I'm off this weekend and the weather will be crappy and cold again. Never fails. It's nice while I'm penned in a box in the office but when I can be out and about it's sh*tty out.
Hope everyone has a great evening, cousin at the hospital had her surgery they can't find source of bleeding but it's stopped and she's getting back to normal. I'm not going tonight I'm getting a pizza and headed home.
Have a good 'un y'all.

AND A DISMAL DAY IT WAS. NEVER GOT ABOVE FREEZING, NEVER A RAY OF SUNSHINE. I COWERED IN THE WARMTH OF THE HOUSE ALL DAY EXCEPTING A TRIP TO THE MAILBOX WITH SWEETHEART.

BEEN REREADING CHURCHILL'S HISTORY OF WW II. AN EPIC STORY, WE OWE AN ENORMOUS DEBT TO THAT OLD MAN.

OF COURSE WE MUST REMEMBER HIS REMARK TO A REPORTER, "I KNOW HISTORY WILL BE KIND TO ME, FOR I INTEND TO WRITE IT." :-)

There goes Tommy, messing with everyone's head.

Wife and I ran some errands earlier today so I didn't get much done around the house. Tomorrow I have a few things I need to take care of including the water filters (which are always a royal PIA).

Hope you've warmed up, TB.

Hope everyone had a great day!
