There's no doubt about it. I complain more than many but deep down I am truly grateful for all the gifts we have received. (Even though Sue and I have packaged many of the gifts and gave them to ourselves.) I was thinking last night during an event we were attending that I am probably in the happiest stage I've been in my life to date. As I partly mentioned yesterday, hard work, dedication and perseverance over the course of a lifetime has returned its dividends. We own our home, a business and property, have a small fleet of vehicles, a beautiful yard, a full pantry and can pretty much enjoy whatever free time we can create. I am in charge of vacation creation. For us, cruising is a good fit. We average 4 week long escapes a year. Sometimes we squeeze in a 12 + day escape. Why cruising? We board a ship, turn off the phones and embrace the day by day activities that unfold. There is the good, comfortable, uninterrupted night's sleep, the buffets and main dining room fare where our only effort is to select our food choices. At night there are shows, movies, music and one of our favorite pass times, the casino. Even Carnival makes my choice so much easier giving us opportunities to cruise at low cost. So, what's not to love. Occasionally we take short breaks to South Carolina and Boston. Life is good. It's a lot of work ..... but good.

COOL AND DRIPPY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, MORE RAIN ON THE WAY. LOOKS LIKE A TWO NAP DAY---

NEED TO GET MY POLE SAW FIRED UP AND CUT SOME TREE LIMBS THAT ARE ON THE POWER LINE TO THE HOUSE, BUT MAYBE NOT IN THE RAIN.

ANY OTHER REDHEADS OR OUT IN THE SUN TYPES MAY BE INTERESTED IN THIS:
In the new trial, use of the psoriasis treatment calcipotriol, plus 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) cream, cut the odds for cancers on the face and scalp by nearly 75 percent, researchers said.

GRISIONARY---HARD WORK: A MUCH OVERRATED ACTIVITY USUALLY RECOMMENDED FOR OTHER PEOPLE.

Morning guys... Up early and in downtown KC. Beings we left early the traffic wasn’t too bad coming in. We are at the same facility as the NAIA basketball tourney, so lots of people here. Thankfully, not as many people here at the “Talent Competition” and they didn’t charge us to come in and watch......SIL says they shouldn’t, because of what they charged for the ‘honor’ of competing. No idea how much it was, but I’m sure it wasn’t cheap.

Weather was pretty decent, 50 when we left the house, 49 now, downtown.

Tommy, I’m with you. We are extremely fortunate to have what we have, do what we do and live where we do. No arguments at all. Have things been rosey all the time? No, not even currently. There are things going on that I despise, but have no control over.

GD is about to start her first dance. Have a great day.

What up Guru's......today I am taking the Grand Sport out of storage and getting it ready for the season..... this is a great day.....even though its raining..... looking forward to putting some miles on the car this year....

Old Joe said he was too OCD over his Corvette and did not like to see it ever get dirty. So he was not enjoying it like he should.... the Mustang he doesn't care about as much and just drives it all the time and in all the weather. I can understand what he is saying, but I think my car looks the best when the front end is covered in bugs after a long cruise to the west coast and back..... I'm a driver and not a waxer..... although thanks to Tee and others my car looks as good as it ever has right now..... but that is re doable so I'm going to drive it all the time if I can.

Although I like the looks of the new Mustang, I will not be getting one. Ever...... unless a 64 or 65 nice vert would pop up for sale.... I might bite on that.....

Let's go get after it Guru's......

Hei all,
Yes, I’m still here. On New Years we got a puppy from a rescue, he’s now into the terrible twos as I call it.
He’s very demanding of time, so I don’t get much quality forum time right now. In a few months I expect that to change a bit as he starts to become more mellowed out and less puppy.

I'll agree with some others on this thread that we have much to be grateful for.

This morning, I put together a new workbench. I dithered over whose and which workbench to buy for years—basically since we built the new garage. Rex Ruby's shock that I had no table in the garage when we replaced Grace's spark plugs last year finally got me to pull the trigger.

The vendor I initially purchased the workbench from, who I found on Amazon, canceled the order after about a month, saying it was undeliverable. Hmmm … I ordered from the much-maligned Best Buy. It arrived in two days, with free shipping, for a couple of dollars less than Amazon. Hmmm … again.

The workbench I got is the Gladiator GarageWorks four foot wide adjustable workbench:

I'm sure many on Guru have bigger benches, but I feel this will suit my needs. I have it adjusted almost all the way up–to my waist height.

I guess I should have expected that.

IT WAS MUSTANGS THAT GOT ME INTO CORVETTES. I'D BEEN SEEING ALL THESE COOL PONY CARS & BABY DAUGHTER EGGING ME ON TO GET ONE. THEN I SAW HARVEY SITTING BESIDE THE ROAD FOR SALE. TRIED IT ON AND IT FIT. I WAS HOOKED. THE STARWARS DASH DID IT ;-)

RAINED OFF AND ON ALL DAY, BUT NOT MUCH, LESS THAN A HALF INCH. ONLY ONE NAP TODAY, IT WAS A NAPUS MAXIMUS HOWEVER :-)

GOT THE POLE SAW RUNNING. IT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR MONTHS AND I LIKE TO HAVE WORN OUT MY ARM BEFORE IT FINALLY STARTED. DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT BECAUSE OF THE RAIN. MAYBE TOMORROW, BUT THE WEATHER WIZARDS SAY IT WILL BE A RERUN OF TODAY.

Good Evening CGs!

Bob, good luck with the pooch. Been trying to convince the wife we need a brother for our little guy to keep him occupied. She doesn't agree....yet.

Still haven't welded the driveshaft. Waiting for my days off. Only a few minutes of work, but I have to get out the welder, put on work clothes, etc. It's a process.

Weather here isn't spring yet but I did see some cars and bikes out. I'm getting the itch. Vette needs a new rad cap before I do too much driving.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
