Good morning, all.

More signs of spring in the Philadelphia area and more green every day.

We took the 2012 to my goddaughter's seventh birthday party yesterday. A good time was had by all.

A good portion of this morning was spent at the dentist. At this point, the work they do is repairs of previous repairs. Sigh …

… in other news, the book/not book is at 15,000 words and 46 pages—and I'm still not sure if there's "any there there." I'm pushing back the go/no go decision to 20,000 words.

Morning fellow travelers ...... cool and cloudy in the great plains today.... and more rain to come they say..... not a wheel has turned in Big Ag and by now field work would be going on. It's dead in the water...... rained this weekend just for spite...... things could get weird here if this keeps up...

The wife was up at her Mom's this weekend. The flood damage to their old folks home was extensive so they have them living in an old drug and alky dry out center that was supposed to be torn down. Uwoman said it was right out of a horror movie. Dim lit halls with flickering lights and bare walls ...... best time frame to move back is 8 weeks....

One wing of the old building had an group of old folks from the town of Pierce that was totally flooded. Uwoman went there to get someone and said the smell of urine and poop was so bad she had to go back to the other wing. Yes the State Board of Health was on their way to figure out what was going on...... I said they better get a plumber while they are at it............ I feel so sorry for those old folks most of who are memory care patients......

There comes a point when you just live to long.......

Enjoy your youngness Guru's......

good evenin..
been a non-progressive weekend. Meant to take off and do nothing. I mean no computer, no nothing. Ended up doing junk around here, and the one day I should have stayed home to be in the sun I go coerced by a girlfriend to go to the nearest casino and that was a bust. The machine tilted and I was stuck there 45 mins waiting on someone to fix it and gimme my $$. I left mad, the buffet was not good, etc. She came home only up $100. My bf went this time and drove us and he spent a ton. We're all mad lol.
Housework today, nursing home yesterday and stuff there made me mad. I'm 10 pages into a long letter to the Ombusdman here.
Marcus - with what is going on there, I'd suggest you give the one there a call. Not sure how things work in your area but the Ombudsman is a person who oversees the 'region's' nursing home facilities and advocates for patient comfort, etc. I was unaware of this person until recently and he won't be real pleased to see me. The nursing home here will be pissed as hell at me too but I really don't care. I'm fed up with some things and they are things that "state" really does not control. I'm getting prepared to create a disturbance like they've not seen in a while.
Hope everyone had a good weekend and great start to the week.

GIVE 'EM HELL, LETTY. THEY DESERVE IT---OR MAYBE NOT, I'M KIND OF PREJUDICED AGAINST NURSING HOMES.

TURNED INTO A GLOOMY DAY HERE, BUT I DID GET THE FLORIST TRIP ACCOMPLISHED. WE'LL GO OUT TO A NICE STEAK HOUSE IN TAHLEQUAH TOMORROW NIGHT. 53 YEARS TOMORROW.

Hey guys...I was up early to see SIL and granddaughters off to school, and daughter off to work. Then we jumped on the road home. Cool and cloudy when we left, then in the middle part of the state it went to partly cloudy and seasonal temps. Then as we kept going west, it clouded up again. Got home, unloaded and put stuff away, then got to work in the shop. trying to get a project done by Wednesday so I can install Thursday, so worked until about 8:30 tonight.

My arse is dragging, I'm headed for bed.
