Morning guys...another warm day on tap, mid 80s predicted, but breezy. Tomorrow, downright windy, 50-60mph winds predicted. Then, possibly, snow Thursday.

Got a few things to get done today....got to get to them.

Good morning, all.

Got back from our 24th wedding anniversary jaunt yesterday evening—we spent a few great days in Austin, TX.

Reached a decision on the Buick Riviera book. It's a go, though I'm still not what avenue I'll end up using to publish it.

CONGRATS ON THE ANNIVERSARY AND THE BOOK DECISION. GLAD YOU HAD FUN IN AUSTIN. AUSTIN, HOWEVER, LIKE DALLAS IS IN TEXAS BUT NOT TEXAS. IF YOU WANT A TASTE OF TEXAS GO TO FT WORTH OR "SAN ANTONE", THE UHR HOME OF TEX-MEX COOKING. A MOST DELICIOUS TOWN IT IS.

Congrats on your 24th Big John..... living large is the best revenge.....
Put me down for one the the books..... might be your first presale..... have you ever considered a digital format also?

70's here today.... but got a nasty storm brewing that is going to cover a lot of ground..... snow rain and colder temps..... winter will not give up ....

Yeah we like San Antone in Texas but have not hung out in Austin much.... the River Walk is very cool.... Of Course the wife can't wait to get to Waco to see all the things Chip and Johanna have built.....

Have a day to remember Guru's....

Congratulations on the anniversary!!! And the book John!

80 and beautifully sunny here today. Of course it could not be that way on my day off, raining, and cold. And, I'm not busy enough here to be stuck here. I'd much rather be in my lounger admiring all my work. Of course then I'll notice more work I need to be doing. Might as well stay here.
Have a great day everyone

Good Afternoon CGs!

VB - hope you're feeling better by today.

John - congrats on the anniversary.

It's a beautiful day here today. It was a beautiful day yesterday, as well.

Yesterday I was walking the dog and I saw my neighbor a few doors down struggling with his car. He was trying to do some brakes. Good people that I've known for more than a dozen years. The son (doing the brakes) is an electrician and so is his father. His father wired my basement and the son did some work at my mom's house. So I asked him what the problem was - he couldn't get the caliper abutment brackets off. Most of the problem was he was using some junky hand tools and not the right ones. The bolt heads were half rounded off already. So I went home and got big red - 24" Snap-on ratchet (breaker bar) along with the correct sockets and my snap-on manual impact driver set. Took off the bracket bolts without flinching. Then the impact driver made short work of the rotor screws. The rotor was seized on from rust so I showed him how to beat it off with the sledge. Once that was done I left the tools for him to use to do the other side. He was more than impressed and super grateful for the help. Obviously that's just what you do for a friend. Snap-on to the rescue. Sometimes it pays to buy quality tools.

Getting ready for a family vacation so you guys won't hear from me for a few days.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Matt ........... Never mind ...

Was up just before 05:30 to run a delivery around the middle Keys. 2 hour drive down, 1 hour unload, return trip and a couple of chores at the nursery. 6 1/2 hour day. I got rained on pretty good by a passing t-storm. Went from dry to soaked in less than 30 seconds. Went home, stripped off my clothes (Whoo-hoo!) and since I was undressed I figured a nap was in order. Good nap too. 1 1/2 hours took the edge off. I guess being retired means you get to take a nap every now and then .......

Oh ya. While I was driving through the Keys I realized that those were some of the same views I was looking at 40 years ago when I moved to South Florida. I enjoyed some beautiful and captivating views from the roadway. Lots has changed down there. Too many Vulcan people. The place I delivered to is a place I could live. Key Colony Beach, just north of Marathon, though the area is pretty heavily policed. 25 mph speed limit and some 15 mph zones as well. Most of the residents are ... ah ..... elderly .... lol

Thank you, Gris.

I've been to just about every city in Texas, the lady not so much—most of her experience has been the panhandle as we travel Route 66. We did consume many excellent meats while in Austin. We also made it out to the Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry—you know it's a big armor collection when they have not one but two M7 Priests.

Thank you, Marcus. Digital is tough for a book with as many images as I think I'm going to end up with.

Hey Marcus, ask the guys that work on those million dollar pieces of John Deere equipment what they use.... here's a hint - it starts with "snap" and ends in "on." Tell that to Tommy.
