OVERCAST AND MILD IN THE NATIONS, THE MUCH BALLYHOOED STORM FRONT WHICH WAS RACING EAST STILL HAS NOT MADE IT TO GRISHEIM.
SCHOOLS CLOSED ALL OVER THE STATE FOR FEAR OF TORNADOES, BUT TO DATE MOST PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN DUE TO HIGH WATER.

LAST NIGHT'S GET TOGETHER WAS OK, THE PIZZA WAS GOOD. THEY HAD ITALIAN BEER, WHICH WAS RATHER UNDERWHELMING, AND ASSORTED WINES, BUT AS I EXPECTED, NO WHISKEY.

Yeah I heard that rumor also......who would have thunk it.....

Rain and wind and more rain and wind......good day to head for the shop and put in the fire extinguisher and put in my new shift light.... going to set it for like 5500 rpm's so by the time my old brain sees the light and tells my are to move I should be about 6,000 rpm and be able to stay out of the rev limiter for the big race coming up.....

see you get a win for consistent times not so much high speed..... they do have a high speed trophy but that is for the 1000 hp or more guys to fight over....... and like I said before this year they are supposed to have 2 classes.....one for automatics and one for stick shifts.....that will help.....

more later as it developes ...... stay tuned......

Good Morning CGs!

Spent all morning yesterday working in the yard and garden. The fence is mostly done but I have to cut and weld some.

After the landscaping I had to head to my buddy's shop. Got there at 3 and started working on a 97 trans am. Needed to rebuild the headlight motors which are the same setup as used in the C5 Corvettes. Knocked that out in about an hour and a half or so. We racked the Rogue and his cousin came over and we started working. It fought us the whole way. Control arms didn't want to seat, jam nuts didn't want to move, etc. We spent a good 4 hours on it. Two new struts, two control arms, two outer tie rod ends, and two sway bar end links. While doing the passenger side the CV axle decided it was done being an axle and the inner race/joint decided to separate. We barely touched it. But 105,000 miles and it was done I guess. So we had to replace that as well. Go figure. We ordered some pizza for lunch so we did take a break to collect our thoughts. Finally got out of there around 11.

Sitting at Discount Tire now. I'm a waiter so it's already been an hour and a half and they just pulled the car in. It's only two miles from home and I would have walked but it's raining. Oh well.

I need an alignment after this.

"The money pit"

Hope everyone has a great day!

Went to the heart doc. BP was on the high side but I get white coat. I have to go for a cat scan calcium test. If all tests good I can go off the BP meds. That will mean nothing but ibuprofen and benadryl on my need to do meds list.

sunny here today then overcast then I thought I heard rain, then sunny again, I'm sleepy need to run errands, just might go home and go to bed.
My give a hoot for the day is gone.
Picked up an HP Designjet 130 printer recently, got that all cleaned out and ink was uber cheap $23 for ALL cartidges, printer wants to work but the paper feed issue is driving me crazy. Shows online it's a $1400 printer I got it for $25 so figure it's worth messing with. What I can find in forums seems to be a paper alignment sensor and between me and the guys moving it around, might need some adjustment.
Something to work on tomorrow or the next day if time allows.

FINALLY GOT ABOUT AN INCH OF RAIN IN ABOUT 45 MINUTES AROUND 1100, THE STORM WENT PAST AND NOW THE SUN IS SHINING. TORNADO DAMAGE IN A FEW PLACES, NO INJURIES THAT I'VE SEEN REPORTED. ALL THE CREEKS AND RIVERS ARE WAY UP, ARKANSAS RIVER IS SO HIGH IT'S BACKING WATER UP INTO THE TRIBUTARY STREAMS.
SPRINGTIME IN OKLAHOMA.

Jim Comey answered, “I don’t know,” “I don’t recall,” and “I don’t remember” 236 times while under oath. But he remembered enough to write a book ;-)
