Man, I did not want to get up this morning. Back to cool, gray, cloudy and damp. We've had one shower/downpour this morning more is promised.

Gris, are you surviving all the nasty weather down in your area? Bad storms and flooding in your area there. Tommy, sounds like it's warming up dow your way. Letty, I think the beach is calling......

I'll work on the table top today. Have a great day guys.

SUNNY, BREEZY, AND MILD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE ROAD TO MUSKOGEE IS CLOSED, THE ARKANSAS IS WAY OVER IT'S BANKS, 12 FOOD ABOVE FLOOD BY SOME REPORTS. I HAVE NOT BEEN OUT AND ABOUT TODAY, MUST GO RUBBERNECKING. YESTERDAY THE SMALLER STREAMS WERE NOT AS HIGH AS THE RIVER.

Funny Gris......had to copy that to the other forum.....

I hope you have built on the higher ground..... my Dad always said you had to take control of the high ground.....and he always built his house on it....... that is getting real close to scripture......

For the wise man built his house on the rock...... and the foolish man built his on sand......... Matt 7:24-27

well the sun is shining here and so I must go forth and look at the tiny plants to make sure they are well........ have a safe day Guru's

I woke up thinking I knew what I was gonna do. ..... Ring .... Ring .... Spent most of the morning at the mechanics with Sue's Silverado. Oil change, fuel filter, front brakes and rotors. Have to go back and nursery sit from 02:00 to 3:30 ish. There is always tomorrow ... and the day after that ... and the day after that. LOL I can't even plan my day ON the same day.

RUBBERNECK REPORT:

FT GIBSON IS CUT OFF FROM THE WEST AND NORTH BY HIGH WATER.
TO GET TO MUSKOGEE YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CIRCLE TO THE NORTH TO THE TUNE OF ABOUT 50 MILES. BUT WHO WOULD WANT TO GO TO MUSKOGEE? :-)

FT GIB IS ALSO HAVING SOME ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS.

THE ARKANSAS IS CAUSING ALL THE PROBLEMS, THE LESSER STREAMS ARE NOT EXCESSIVELY HIGH. ALL THE WATER THEY ARE LETTING OUT OF KEYSTONE LAKE ABOVE TULSA IS NOT HELPING A BIT.

WE SIT HERE ON THE SIDE OF THE RIDGE FAT, DUMB, AND HAPPY--- EXCEPT THAT THE DAMN GRASS IS GROWING AGAIN

Nursery sitting was cancelled and replaced with a delivery in the heart of the beast, Miami. Trip there was no problem. Trip home the front/middle of the rush hour wave. Drive back took and hour and a half for a 32 mile trip. I'm tired. Feed the critters and I'm done. And take out the trash and then I'm done. Except for a nice hot shower. Then I think I'll be done.

SO NOW FT GIBSON HAS NO LIGHTS OR WATER. THE LOCAL NURSING HOME HAS BEEN EVACUATED. AND THE 50 MILE LOOP TO MUSKOGEE IS IN DANGER. PEOPLE ON THE EAST BANK OF THE ARKANSAS WHO WORK IN TULSA WILL BE SOL IF THAT HAPPENS.

HERE'S AN INTERESTING HEADLINE:
USDA staffers quit en masse as Trump administration eyes moving offices out of DC

WHAT AN EXTRAORDINARY IDEA; PUT THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE WHERE THE FARMERS ARE! CRUEL AND UNUSUAL, NEBRASKA OVERRUN WITH BUREAUCRATS, THE END OF GOVERNMENT AS WE KNOW IT! WHAT IF THEY GOT THEIR SHOES MUDDY?

Busy day here. The skies open up and drench us every so often. I worked out in the shop on the table for a couple hours this morning, then got a text asking for help with computers at a local business. So went over and worked on those for about 2 1/2 hours. Came home and worked on the table the rest of the day, 'til about 5:30. Then drove out to help a friend hang an old 2 man saw in his rustic living room.

Well, my butt is really dragging tonight....really never got beyond the tired stage today.

I take the pickup out to have new tires put on it tomorrow morning. Finally getting rid of the OEM Goodyear crap tires. I thought I was going to do Michelins, but after doing some research, I'm doing Kuhmo Crugen HT51.
