Good Morning CGs!

Goofy weather here again. Cold Monday and hot Tuesday. Can't get any consistency.

Monday we drove the kids to Springfield (state capital) for a day trip. About 2 1/2 hours each way. They got to see Lincoln's tomb, Lincoln's house tour, the neighborhood he lived in (restored/preserved), and they got to walk around the capitol building. Then we had some dinner and headed home. A long day but the time we got home and everyone was exhausted. But the kids loved it. We'd like to do it again but stay overnight so we can hit the museums, too.

Still haven't had a chance to tinker with the Vette and find the misfire. Hopefully soon.

Marcus, sorry if I missed it but did you have your 1/2 mile run yet?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ya, when I was a young dad I also shared some of Lincoln's history with my son. I showed him and image of the former President then showed him an image of the Lincoln Memorial. Then I put the penny back in my pocket. Took less than a minute.

I had a much needed rest day yesterday. Woke this morning feeling like I had enough sleep. Good thing too. I have lots to do today. Back has improved to it's somewhat normal pain and restrictive movement levels so I should be good to go. Well, at least I feel young at heart.

Morning guys...It was a busy day yesterday. Didn't get anything done in the shop until after 5. Then I worked until almost 10.

Cloudy, cool and humid this morning. Another shower overnight and chance for more throughout the day and a high of low 80s today.

More firesticks to install today. At noon lunch at the senior center. Then more firesticks to install. End of the month coming up so people are scrambling.

I better get to it. Have a great day!

Been raining here off and on last few days. We've been due a ton of rain, 11 days straight but not near that much has showed up. Storms due in today but now they're even calling off some of those. Not complaining. 90% chance Monday but never saw a drop. I planted a ton of stuff over the weekend and hesitated to water much as rain was due, now I had to water and watch it rain like all get out and drown it all. Have sent 20 pages with photos to the nursing home compliant folks, waiting to see where that ends up. The volunteers with the Ombudsman office visited her she said. Haven't heard back from the lawyer, bout to give up there. The home finally moved her back to her 'normal' room but I've not seen the end result yet, not been home soon enough to go by there as she'd be in bed already. Figure I'll look it over Friday maybe and address any concerns. New beam in the top part of our garage also. Seems the vinyl installers from previous owners did the water deflection piece right backwards. Crumbs were all that was left of the previous 2x8 that was up there so we tore it all out and replaced that this weekend also. Been a busy weekend. And now I think I have a bone spur on my heel. WTH

RAINED A LITTLE THIS MORNING, BUT NOW HAS CLEARED OFF AND THE SUN IS OUT. YESTERDAY WAS NICE ALL DAY, EVEN HOT ENOUGH TO BREAK A SWEAT, LAST HALF OF JUNE AND SUMMER IS JUST ARRIVING??
THE OBSTACLE COURSE IS OVERGROWN AGAIN. OH JOY, I GET TO MOW :-|

WENT OVER TO TAHLEQUAH EARLY FOR A HAIRCUT. SHE OPENS AT EIGHT, NO WAIT IF I GET THERE EARLY. THEN I STOPPED AT “JIMMY’S EGG” FOR BREAKFAST. SAT THERE TOTALLY IGNORED FOR A WHILE, GOT UP AND WALKED OUT. I DON’T LIKE TO EAT WHERE I’M INVISIBLE.

MADE IT TO THE RANGE YESTERDAY, THE PUT-TOGETHER 10/22 I BOUGHT A FEW SHOWS BACK PERFORMED WELL EVEN WITH THE CHEAP 4X NIKON SCOPE. TRIED TEN DIFFERENT LOADS, INCLUDING THREE ELEY PRODUCTS (ELEY IS CONSIDERED THE GOLD STANDARD FOR .22 TARGET AMMO) AND THE BEST GROUP WAS WITH WOLF MATCH TARGET! DIDN’T EXPECT THAT. I’LL MOUNT A 3X9 LEUPOLD ON IT AND DO SOME MORE TESTING WITH SOME OTHER SHELLS.
THE WIN 490 WAS A WASH. I HAD SLAPPED A SCOPE ON IT AND DIDN’T BORESIGHT; COULDN’T GET ON THE PAPER. IT ALSO HAD THE WORSE TRIGGER PULL I’VE ENCOUNTERED IN A WHILE, HEAVY, CREEPY, AND ROUGH. I SUSPECT IT’S FILTHY INSIDE. WHEN I GET SOME INFO, I’LL DETAIL STRIP IT AND CLEAN EVERYTHING UP. THAT MAY HELP.

Next time you walk in to the egg place loudly say GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! Guess I'll sit over here. Or Who's my server? Are you my server? Especially to the owner.

Finally pulled the trigger on my home battery power tool set. Patience pays. Got most of what I wanted. You can never have enough tools. Right, Matt?

Good deal there. I have quite a few Milwaukee tools in both 12v and 18v and I'm very impressed with them.

That’s a nice set Tommy.
It seems like most everyone is doing okay,
So why are we in the Tech page?

The availability of inexpensive and powerful lithium ion batteries has changed the world.

Looks like a nice set!
