As a young lad I can remember Friday as a seafood day. No meat on Friday. It had a religious background. One of those rules that was reinterpreted or something that faded in importance. So many general rules have faded in importance and have been replaced with new rules protected by law. So the rules I grasped in my formative years are now outdated. It comes with aging I guess. The world today is not the world I grew up in. When I was a kid spitting was such a big deal they used to post signs warning of fines if one might spit in the wrong place. Spitting appears to be one of the least of our social problems today. I'm sure there are still many anti spitting laws on the books just nobody gives a spit anymore.

Holy moly......another 1 3/4" inches last night..... unbelievable.... June 20th or around this time is the traditional start of irrigation here in Huskerland..... this year there is so much rain that we can't finish the field work like weed control and cultivation. Good thing is the price of corn keeps going up.....

Going to move Grandpa to the Hospice this weekend and get him out of the hell hole he is in.... can't be fast enough.....

Not much else to report....... more later so stay tuned Guru's....

Everything that is wrong with this Country can be traced back to the Democratic party at some point. There how is that for a broad brush stroke......

Good Morning CGs!

Had some more rain last night. Clear skies now, warm and humid.

Tommy, the wife is pretty strict Catholic and she doesn't eat meat on Fridays. I'm a pretty strict heathen so I eat whatever I want. Of course when she's cooking dinner, I eat fish on Friday.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey guys...up early and to the hospital to get blood work done. Then I worked in the shop for a while until I had to go setup three Rokus. Then back to work in the shop. I got my new chip collector, so I am trying to make the rest of the system air tight, to make it more efficient.

In to eat lunch then off to work setting up three Firesticks for another couple. As soon as I finished that, Rosie and I headed over to the 'city' for grocery shopping and I picked up some materials for hand rails for some stairs for an older couple.

Back home and it's 8:15. Unload the supplies and Rosie made some sandwiches for supper. Kind of late to eat, but it tasted good.

It was supposed to be hat and humid today...and it was, just not quite as hot as they were predicting, but warm none the less. Looks like we are back to a 'no rain' pattern. It builds up, then either falls apart or moves north or south of us dropping rain.

We follow the "no meat on Fridays" during Lent, even though at 64 we are "exempt" from having to.
