OVERCAST AND MILD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, IT HIT 85 YESTERDAY, A TASTE OF SUMMER :-)

NO WORD ON DARLING WIFE'S RELEASE FROM HOSPITAL. A BIT OF CONFUSION UP THERE I THINK. I DOUBT THE MEDICAL BUREAUCRATS WILL GET THEIR DUCKS IN A ROW IN TIME FOR US TO GET HER HOME TODAY.

I'M JUST SITTING HERE ON "STRIP ALERT"---

I'm doing good. Started a second chat thread for the day but now merged. This aging thing sucks. Got up all achy and stiff as usual. Then I realized it takes me even more effort to do the same tasks I always do. That just ain't right. It's hard enough as it is without making it harder. Fortunately, being retired gives me more time to get $#!+ done. I've been working less at the nursery this year too. A blessing.

Morning guys...Cloudy and cool this morning. Not a lot on the agenda. Will head out to the shop and find a few things to keep me busy.

Finished and delivered the kitchen bench I made for a client. I was pleased with the finished product.

Worked on the top for the cabinet I built for a lady. It was, kind of, a royal PITA. Started yesterday by gluing some pieces together, to build the thickness of the edge up. I used a special epoxy, which is supposed to dry in 20 minutes. Well, I left it to cure overnight, but this morning when I went out, I find it has not cured and I pull the pieces apart without much effort. CRAP! So I spend an hour cleaning all the pieces up removing the failed glue...what a sticky mess. Grab a new tube of epoxy and go at it again. This time the glue sets properly. After lunch, I finish up the top and that finishes up the cabinet....now it goes to my storage garage until her house is ready.
