Just want to let y'all know these are now prohibited in Floridah.

FWC Commissioners approved rule changes in Chapter 68-5, F.A.C., on February 21, 2019, that added the following species to the Prohibited list, effective May 2, 2019:

Yellow anaconda (Eunectes notaeus)
Beni anaconda (Eunectes beniensis)
DeSchauensee’s anaconda (Eunectes deschauenseei)
Brown tree snake (Boiga irregularis)
Brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula)
Indian wild dog (Cuon sp.)
Flying fox (Pteropus sp.)
Racoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides)
Mongoose, meerkat (Atilax sp., Cynictis sp., Herpestes sp., Ichneumia sp., Mungos sp., and Suricata sp.)
Red-whiskered bul-bul (Pycnonotus jocosus)
Red-billed quelea/dioch (Quelea quelea)
Java sparrow (Padda [Lonchura] oryzivora)
Pink/rosy starling (Stumus [Pastor] roseus)

Just as long as no one starts a Wildlife Matters protest all should be OK.

OVERCAST, STICKY, AND STILL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. DARLING WIFE'S VISIT TO THE FRONT PORCH DIDN'T LAST LONG.

WE ARE OFF TO ARKANSAS IN A LITTLE WHILE, IT MAY RAIN THIS AFTERNOON, SO WE WONT TAKE THE TOMATO. DON'T WANT IT TO MELT ON THE WAY HOME ;-)

SO I'M NOT THE ONLY NEO-LUDDITE:

Morning guys.... awaiting my turn to see the Dentist. Rosie is in now. It is a sticky morning. Heavy clouds and mid 70s . Hoping that the sun will burn off the humidity...pretty sure “burning” Is going to happen, predicting almost 100 today.

I’ve got some things to do in the shop once we get home. Tomorrow we will head to hometown to spend the night with Rosie’s dad, then on Saturday we will take him to Rosie’s nieces’ wedding. Not staying very long as it is a two hour drive from his home and he doesn’t feel comfortable staying in a motel.

Have a great day folks.

Hot and icky here. Rained cats and dogs yesterday up here and got home to all my plants, some newly potted turned over including the 9ft bird of paradise. That sucker's heavy. Lawn chair in the pool, one plant that was in the ground was blown and uprooted and sent across the driveway. Of course today sunny and hot with a 109* heat index. Ugh.
Tee good luck at the dentist while they're working on your toot.
yall have a good day and stay cool

Gloomy so far, but should burn off by noon... Close to the coast in SoCal usually gets lower temps... but we are on the wrong side of a hill and it can get warm...

It actually rained here a few days ago! Had to use the wipers!!! World must be coming to an end or something.

Working on some small fixes to the Vette... oil change, radiator support, things like that...

Got a call from Rosie's dad a little bit ago, he says he thinks he had better not go to the wedding. We will still go there tomorrow night and leave from there to go to Wichita for the wedding. Not sure if we will go back to dads house Saturday night or just come on home.......1 1/2 hours to dads' or almost 4 home...

Got up to 97 today, and this afternoon, the air got real juicy....feels like a storm is in the making.
