Well, I can't complain about the weather here, since yesterday afternoon we have received almost 2 inches of rain. Not real hard rain, just a slow steady rain. Supposed to continue throughout the day today. Low 80s for the high.
I've got several things on the agenda. Things in the shop, baseboard to finish at the new house, computers to work on and jobs to work on design and material lists to produce. |

MIL and FIL met with the doctors yesterday. Wednesday is the target surgery day. They have to open her up. With this surgery that means cutting the sternum and spreading the rib cage for access. My mom had that done when she was 68. After that surgery she said "Do not let them ever do that again."That reflects how much pain she endured in recovering from the surgery. Survived my first week without cigarettes. I think of my mentors telling me how they quit and of course our good friend Brad. Then I feel my lungs breathing and I say to myself "Does that feel good to you? Do you want to breathe when you get older." That and a chew of nicotine gum has been pulling me through. Having quit drinking years ago I know the discipline you MUST apply if you hope to succeed. If I succeed in quitting cigarettes I will then be without sin and apply for sainthood in one God fearing organization or another. |

78 DEGREES AND 79% AT 0925 HRS. A STICKY START TO THE DAY. TEE, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO GET YOUR RAIN BEFORE TOO LONG. THEN I'LL HAVE TO MOW AGAIN :-( ANIMALS FED, DRAINED, AND DOCTORED, CARS ROTATED BREAKFAST ON THE STOVE. GOT TO GET A BIGGER COLLAR FOR THE GROWING PUP. A WASP STUNG ME ON THE TOP OF THE EAR EARLY THIS MORNING AND IT STILL HURTS. |

Ok, for late July, an 80* high is almost unbelievable, but that's what we got today. And a little more rain too.
I finished off all the check marks from the lady's list today...until she comes up with more things as she gets moved in. We had to work until about 6:15pm to finish things up though. Pretty sure she'll find a couple more things. The guy came and picked up the barn doors, so those are out of the shop. Returned phone calls that I missed while in Branson last week. A couple little jobs to do. More rain possible tonight...bring it on.... Prayers for your family still Tommy. Hoping you continue to feel better Marc. Gris, you're welcome for the rain...unless you really didn't want it... then I'm sorry, send it back. |
