Good Morning CGs!

The prodigal son has returned. I apologize for my absence the past week. The kids and other responsibilities have kept me away from any online forums. This remote / eLearning stuff for school is a real PIA. Kids need to be in school....actual school. RR#1 is adapting well but RR#2 is having a few problems. Seems he's not the only one according to other parents. It seems to be an age/maturity issue. He's in 5th grade this year. I feel bad for all of the kids. I'm ready for the covid stuff to be done (I know I'm not alone).

Driveway and brick pavers are complete if I didn't post that already. Turned out really nice. Not inexpensive but an upgrade I have wanted for a while so I was willing to pay for.

Already starting to get some cooler weather. Fall as my favorite season but the problem is that leads into winter which is my least favorite season. So a double-edged sword.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome back Mat! You’re up early or still up on Thursday nite.
Like most of you, I’m looking forward to a three-day weekend. Maybe I’ll get my new fuel lines in, wish me luck.
Everyone be safe this weekend.

Bob, currently working afternoon shift so I get home late. Good luck with the fuel lines. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the offer on the lines Mat. I know what you mean about afternoon shift. I’m back on it as well. God news is that as I watch Fox Business channel, August saw 1.371 million people going back to work! That’s good for all of us. We still have room to improve, but things are going in the right direction.
Where I work, they want to start 3rd shift back up but can’t find enough people to do it. That’s why I’ve had so many 7-day weeks.
Have a great day everyone.

IT'S A NICE MORNING IN THE NATIONS, SUNNY CALM AND MILD.

THE HIGHPOINT OF THE DAY'S AGENDA IS THE EXPECTED ARRIVAL OF THE CONTRACT BUG KILLER, WHO WILL FURTHER ENLIGHTEN DARLING WIFE AS TO LOCAL GOSSIP.

IT WAS NICE ENOUGH YESTERDAY MORNING TO PUT THE TOP DOWN ON THE TOMATO FOR THE CAT FOOD RUN TO TAHLEQUAH. WHAT I'M MISSING IS A TORUNAU (?) COVER LIKE MY TR4 HAD. APPARENTLY NOBODY MAKES ONE. I DON'T LIKE LEAVING IT PARKED WITH THE TOP DOWN. I USUALLY RAISE THE TOP BUT DON'T LATCH IT IF I PARK FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. PREVENTS HOTSEAT :-)

Matt, our step-grands have higher priority than any weather banter or rants you may encounter here. Can't believe the children are aging as quickly as they are. So unlike the elder members here that are just sort of marking time. We are stuck in some kind of time warp or something. Some of us are still riding motorcycles, working massive side projects lifting heavy items, cutting fields of grass and so much more.

Morning guys...Beautifully cool this morning. Going to warm up into the 90s today and tomorrow then up to 100 Sunday, back into the upper 90s Monday, then low 50s Tuesday... Straight from Summer into early winter.

I know what you guys are talking about, as far as people going back to work. We have been waiting to finish the church hall classroom project, that we started back in January. Waiting on some pre-finished trim to complete that, but the supplier tells our local lumberyard guy that he can't get people to come back to work, because they can make more on unemployment.

Got a few things to do out in the shop today. Tomorrow we will go north about an hour to cheer on GS#3 do his cross country run. It's his first year doing this and he is really liking it.

Have a great day.

This is a very true statement that I've experienced in my own life. When I look at myself and the kids time just marches on day by day. When I look at other people including family members time seems to stand still when I think about them. I still remember them as little children and some of them are in high school now. Funny phenomenon.

....in the great State of Nebraska the kids are going to actual school.... they wear masks and social distance and so far so good I'm thinking.... college kids not so much...kinda hard to wear a mask and social distance at a kegger......

Had my MRI yesterday.... something not entirely unpleasant but to be avoided if possible.... I had an open MRI which is close to your body on top but open to the room on the sides so not as claustrophobic as some of them... took 20 minutes to take the pics and they played me 60's rock on the headphones but the machine is so loud you could hardly hear the music most of the time.....

Got the results back today and it looks like spinal stenosis and all kinds of arthritis.... so have been referred to a specialist who will evaluate and decide what is the best way to go forward....will meet with them next week..... as long as I can still work a clutch I will be ok....

Drive faster Guru's.....

Kids here in our district are also going to actual school. Social distancing (sort of) and wear masks (sort of). We'll see how long that lasts.

...so finally read Tommy's post from yesterday as to back conditions.... I should have just asked the Guru's what to do since what is in tommy's post is just what the doc told me....Arthritis and the lower spine is a mess.... and..... I really thought those acrobatics with the lil Chica all those years ago would have healed up by now.... that is when Sturgis used to be fun.....
