I have blinders on and September was not in my view. October is a transition month from hurricane threats to a more normal pattern. November usually leaves us saying 'It's still hot outside." and the raining starts to subside.

Suburban is getting closer to completion. Getting ready to paint. They are going to shoot the back bumper on our dime to bring it all into better color consistency.

Went to the casino last night to drop a few dimes. Sue came out $500 up and I came away $160 up. Put that into a gambling fund so that we play on their money, till we don't. ;) Played for about 3 1/2 hours. We are up over the last couple of months. We play for recreation only. Don't expect to win or lose too much.

Beautiful day again here today, woke up early so went out side and admired the flower, peace and quiet and refillled the hummingbird feeders. Surprised they're still here, gla they are.
Noticed the neighbor's motor home is missing. He moved 3 months ago and it's still been sitting there. The lady on the other side of us said although they just listed the house someone closes the 14th on it. He tore down the pool that was out back also, not sure what else he plans to do. Either way it's nice to finally come down our street and actually see our house, or see down the street when we look out the door after nearly 4 years.
Prayers please for good people to move in and not disrespectful ones like before with a yard full of dogs and screaming, beating, banging pack of kids.
Hoping for a smooth day today at work, will stop by the store to pick up a card for Arron, he hits the big 50 tomorrow. Having him a cake made and ordered three of his choice gifts.

Morning folks... Slept in again this morning. 35 as a low headed to mid 70s today.

Nothing really on the agenda today. I golfed yesterday afternoon with a couple of locals. Really nice guys. while out, my arm started blistering really bad and itching. This morning, it has started peeling...sort of....looks nasty. One spot was obviously a second degree burn and has scabbed over, looks more like an abrasion.

Tommy, you two do better than Rosie and I...We've only come out ahead once . Letty, hoping your new neighbors are better than the old ones.

Congrats to Arron on the milestone.... I can barely remember when that was for me.....traumatic I'm sure but not as much as when I turned 70.... somebody put the brakes on and slow this thing down.....

Cool outside....going to do more cleaning around the place...birds are gathering... no frost here yet... but soon I think...

....Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. It's inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. ..... Sir Winston Churchill

Beautiful day here in the Buckeye.
Tommy, I’ve not found the fun in gambling myself. But I think you’re on the right track. View it as entertainment and have a finite amount you entertain yourself with.
Letty, I feel your pain with neighbors. Nextdoor I have a single mom and oddly enough she works at Children’s Services. Yet her kids were always the ones walking around at 2am. The son was killed in a drug deal gone bad about a week after he moved out. Her girls turned up pregnant and now we’ve got boyfriends with fart pipes or jacked-up diesels coming and going. And the property is not being kept up.
U-man, you and I agree on socialism. The things that never get factored into socialism are the human failings of greed and love of power.

I'm in agreement also on socialism. And have related fears for all of us.
Bob - these previous neighbors were church going, home schooling nice people. However - that 45' motor home sat out in the driveway blocking the views of the street. I was about to turn them in to the city since it hasn't moved and found out my other next door lady did. Said nobody was happy with it. There's a small area where my shop front is that leaves open views from each of our yards. That's where they chose to put their trampoline, basketball goal, etc so all the noice was like coming through a megaphone echoing right into our backyard. And, the kids would climb the trampoline poles and stare into our yard. They purposefully made their backdoor slam loud as possible so they'd know if the "little one" was in or out. The wife as an animal hoarder and they had unruly dogs that chewed the fence, kept getting out, etc. The noise level seriously dropped 95% when they left. 4 kids 4-5 dogs, a stray cat that ruined our car paint, and sprayed in our garage, killed our bunnies and bats, ugh. And looked like Sanford and Son over there. We should've moved to the country but I do not want to be up and down gravel and he didn't either and this house had everything we needed. I should've chose the gravel...

...some town have covenants against parking travel trailers or motorhomes for storage in the owners driveways.... don't think they are enforced much though..... the saying out here.... Good fences make good neighbors.... when we moved here we were out in the country back in 90 and now I can look right in to the neighbors kitchen.... we got a nice tree line between us though...lot better in the summer when there are leaves on everything.....

I WAS GOING TO TAKE OURS DOWN, BUT THERE IS ONE LITTLE HEN THAT HAS NOT GOT THE WORD ABOUT GOING SOUTH. SHE WAS ACTING SO AGITATED WHEN THEY WENT DRY I DIDN'T HAVE THE HEART NOT TO FEED HER.

THEY UPPED THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE MUSKOGEE TURNPIKE TO 80. HARVEY SAID 30 MPG @ 82MPG. NOT BAD FOR AN OLD CAR, I THOUGHT. SAM'S NEW PLACE IS VERY NICE, BIG ROOMY HOUSE WITH AN 11 ACRE POND IN BACK. ONLY DOWNSIDE IS IT'S IN THE BROKEN ARROW CITY LIMITS.

IT'S ONLY THE PEASANTRY THAT SHARE THE SOCIALIST MISERY. THE PARTY BOSSES LIVE VERY WELL.

Got the estimate back on the Suburban. $7500 worth of modification. Sue was griping at me the other day about how slow I was driving in the rain. I told her I was driving at a safe speed for conditions. I added, when was the last time I had an accident? I told her "I'm an excellent driver driver." And "I buy my underwear at K-Mart."
