Morning all. First morning with power since Wednesday.. power went out during the Wednesday night storm and only came back yesterday. Did a panic dash to buy a generator on Friday morning.. eventually found a used one at Bubbas Pawn. Kept the fridge and freezer working and got the cell phone booster and wifi hooked up (no wired wifi service where I live). Also connected chargers for my laptop, ipad and two phones. Amazing that a little 1800watt inverter genny will power all that with 40% load on a gallon of fuel every 12 hours.

Lease signed on the building yesterday - lots of setting up to do, my son launches the resto business on January 1!

Marcus, you must be talking about a tankless water heater. I have one in my bathroom out back. They have been around awhile. I thought the door where GRIS puts the wood under the water tank broke. (My family had one of those in Slovakia) for the once a week bath. LOL. In Europe people were more conservative of their water and resources. Face cloth wipe down body bath daily with bath once a week. I was used to my daily baths when I went Slovakia and Germany in 1973. That's where the women didn't shave their legs or under their arms. Deodorant? What's that? In my apartments when I was in the Air Force in Germany they had propane water heaters that you pushed a button to heat your water on demand. You had to wait for the water to warm. The water was scalding HOT!

Lots of drugs are plant derivatives. Some just find their way onto the street corners of the world. Many have been used therapeutically for centuries. Now the hallucinogenics are a another story though many are plant or fungi based.

Morning guys....OH, I love plumbing........ Yea, tankless water heaters. A lot of people going to them. My sis had one put in last year when I was redoing her basement. She seems to like it.

Our trick or treating was down this year...we only had 275. It was a nice evening for it. We sat out on the driveway to hand out the goodies.

Ice storms...not just for Oklahoma, we get them too...and when we do....well....not pretty. I purchased a 4000 watt generator, just for that purpose, Andy. Then I ran across another one (new open box) 4375 at HF for $138...too good a deal to pass up...so now I have two. Thankfully, so far haven't had to use them for that purpose....of course, you have to have moisture in order to have ice. We are popcorn fart dry out here.

We are happy with our tankless hot water heater, which we've had for a little over three years. I know life was changing when our HVAC guy carried it in under one arm.

OUR HOUSE IN GERMANY HAD ONE; DIDN'T TAKE LONG TO USE UP THE HOT WATER. SHOWERS HAD TO BE QUICK. I'M SURE THEY HAVE IMPROVED SINCE THEN.

WE HAVE HAD NO TRICK OR TREATERS SINCE WE MOVED TO THE COUNTRY. I MISS THE LITTLE BOOGERS.

I HAVE A SMALL GENERATOR I BOUGHT FOR THE Y2K PANIC YEARS AGO. HAD A TRAVEL TRAILER I KEPT BEHIND THE HOUSE IN LAWTON, SO I GOT THE GENERATOR TO HOOK UP TO IN WHEN CIVILIZATION CAME TO AN END. IT'S SURE BEEN HANDY IN THESE IND' NATION ICE STORMS.

IS THERE "GO FUND ME" FOR PLUMBERS?

I’ve thought about those tankless heaters as well. Just haven’t made the leap yet.

Yes Gris, it’s us customer types. I had to have one put in a month or so back. I don’t feel too bad, the old one lasted 15 years.
Let’s hope that’s as bad as the week goes for us all. Until tomorrow...
