To some people Black Friday matters. Just another day for me. There is NOTHING I need, so shopping isn't high on my list. BIL and sis are down till Sunday. We had a nice, small, traditional Thanksgiving dinner with just the four of us.

SUNNY, CALM, AND COLDISH IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES ARE STUFFED.

HAD A GREAT GET TOGETHER, MARRED ONLY BY BABY DAUGHTER'S EXPERIMENTAL DRESSING WHICH BURNED ON THE LAUNCH PAD. #1 GRANDSON BROUGHT SCOTCH EGGS AND THE WARRIOR PRINCESS HER FAMOUS BUTTERMILK PIE. TOOK GRANDSONS 7&8 FOR AN ARGO RIDE THRU THE WOODS, WE ALL CAME BACK A BIT SCRATCHED UP. A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.

MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN ARE MIRACLES OF GENETICS; THEY HAVE ALL MY VIRTUES AND NONE OF MY FAULTS :-)

Morning guys...Sunny and cold this morning, 27 now (9am), but they are saying low 50s for a high.

We had 7 total for our meal yesterday, 2 turkeys (smoked 13 1/2# and baked 22#) and all the fixings, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, sweet potatoes, pumpkin dessert and pecan pie. LOTS of leftovers, but we sent everyone home with meals for the week.

Still feeling pretty good, not 100%. I think (maybe in my head) a slight loss of taste and smell....I hope that is in my head. This morning seems to be normal though.

GRIS. How long did they marinate the Scotch eggs? Hopefully it was a nice, full bodied, aged, quality Scotch.

The real Scotch eggs sound delicious. I'm gonna have to try that.

Black Friday no longer matters to me much, I dont' buy for many anymore and will pickup something for the cousin in the nursing home, the bf and one or two others that's it. I'll probably get it last minute as usual.
We had only 6 but enough food for 50 at least. We do it every year. Turkey, ham, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, seasoned green beans, cranberry/raspberry/pineapple/pecan salad, dressing, grape salad, lil smokies with baked beans, cheesecake, coconut cake, better than sex cake (not verified), banana pudding, pumpkin pie - I'm sure I'm forgetting something but we had lots. and lots of leftovers.
Slow day at the office but it's almost over. Happy weekend

I DIDN'T INQUIRE AS TO THEIR PREPARATION, I JUST ATE THEM.

I HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THEM UNTIL #1 GS CAME UP WITH THEM AT A PREVIOUS FAMILY GET TOGETHER.
