I just got thru the turkey day postings. I’m happy you all made thru mostly un-scathed.
We had the four of us and a proper sized turkey.
I’m working this weekend as they need someone here “in case.”
The idea of my being here did not go over well with the crew, but the holiday $$ was just too good. Naturally, I’ve unintentionally already spent most of it. I found a NIB folding hard tonneau for the truck less than half price! Then, I finally got an electrician to run a 220 line in ethe garage to hook up the old furnace out there. Nice guy, and he did a good job, but for less money I’d have been willing to put up with a bit of a jerk. I’m told these items were my Christmas. Hmmm, we’ll see about that...

Sorry, been pretty busy over here.

I don't do the black friday shopping frenzy. In the past few years with the internet push it hasn't even been necessary for most things. Obviously stores still have their "doorbuster" deals to get you in....but I don't need a blender for $8 or any trinkets like that.

Taking the kids for a picture with Santa later. Obviously not the *real* Santa, he's too busy in the north pole. 10 and 12 1/2 and they still believe. Wish it could stay that way forever.

Howdy.... well the process of healing is taking its time.... I'm still maintaining on Advil but have started to take the muscle relaxers they gave me..... having more pain now in my hips which they say is normal and will go away.... still staying out of the Hydrocodone for now.

Nice weather here today... 50's and sunshine.... feel like I should be doing something but I can't.....

Ended up doing some shopping last evening. We went to a local outlet mall . I picked up 3 pairs of jeans and a flannel shirt and some new kicks. Everybody else got a little something as well . All discounted to prices we were willing to pay. No madness where we were. We just walked in and shopped. Casino bound tonight foe a few hours. Sue and I have Amazon Gify card gifts of $50 and $25 waiting . She has $35 free play and I have $15. So ... $125 for just walking in the door.

Hey folks.... cloudy and chilly out on the high plains.

Talked to a former student (in his early 40s) today who had the C19. Said he lost his sense of taste and smell only about 4 days after he tested positive. And just now, 3 weeks later, is getting it back. He said he never really got sick.

Went out to the shop and finished up the chess board for GD#1, a present for her boy friend.

Got church coming up later.
