Hi guys!
Just thought I’d start a new thread instead of prolonging yesterday’s.
Tee, to answer the question of getting tested, I don’t want to be sick with no symptoms (if that’s the case) and have the daughter come home for Christmas and possibly catch it from me. She’s got health concerns, as does my son. I don’t want her to get sick because of me.

Like the rest of you guys, I’m interested in increasing my home security. I’m hoping to get a pump action 12ga for the house, and maybe a hand-held as well. I have to admit, the idea of firing on another human being, even in a dire circumstance, is a frightening scenario that makes me more horrified the more I think of it. But like one of you said, better to have and never need than need and not have.

You guys all have a great week!

CLEAR AND COLD IN SNOWCLAHOMA, SNOWED MOST OF THE DAY YESTERDAY, LOOKS LIKE ABOUT THREE INCHES. IT FROZE OVERNIGHT, GLAD I DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE TO WORK THIS MORNING.

BOB, YOU'RE ON THE RIGHT TRACK FOR HOME DEFENSE. A PUMP SHOTGUN IS IDEAL, IN MY OPINION, MUCH EASIER TO HIT WITH THAN A PISTOL. CAN BE SAFELY KEPT WITH MAG LOADED, QUICK INTO ACTION, WON'T SHOOT THRU TWO WALLS AND HIT THE NEIGHBORS, AND IS DEVASTATING AT CLOSE RANGE. I KEEP MINE LOADED WITH #2 SHOT, ACROSS THE ROOM SHOT SIZE IS IRRELEVANT.
AND THERE IS A DISTINCT SOUND WHEN YOU CHAMBER A ROUND THAT SENDS A MESSAGE---

THIS IS AUTO ROTATION DAY, BUT I THINK I'LL CANCEL DUE TO SNOW. I LIKE TO TAKE THE OUTGOING TOYCAR TO TOWN AND FILL THE TANK BEFORE I PUT IT AWAY AND THE ROADS ARE SLOPPY AT BEST.

MARCUS, I HAVE NEVER LOADED .40 CAL, IT'S A BASTARD ROUND TO ME, NEITHER FISH NOR FLESH---
NOSLER #6 BOOK GIVES 7.2 GR UNIQUE, 135 GR JHP, WSP PRIMER, FOR 1125 FPS.

Good morning, all.

Like many on Guru, snow is in our future. It's supposed to come to our area In the Wednesday/Thursday timeframe, with the forecasts ranging from six to twenty inches. My biggest concern is losing power—otherwise, we're in pretty good shape with our Subaru Outback (wth the Blizzaks) and our overengineered Honda snowblower.

Getting ready—and a busy week at work, too.

Morning guys...It's COLD here this morning, 9am and still just 15. It is sunny, but the breeze makes it feel even colder.

Bob, I understand your position for getting tested. I also understand your thoughts about drawing and firing on another person. But, tough times require tough decisions. I believe I could do it, if it came down to protecting myself or my family. Only the actual situation would prove me right or wrong. I hope I NEVER have find out.

Headed to the shop to work on doors and drawers. Didn't get as much accomplished as I had hoped yesterday. Doing #2s project took longer than I anticipated.

John, hoping you keep power and that the snow you receive is beneficial not a hindrance.

Shorts, t-shirt break a sweat kind of day. I had a delivery that went all wrong this morning. First google maps brought me to Ave when I thought I said Street. Next I misread the address and I put 10005 when it should have been 11005. Sue called me and said "Where did you go. I saw up the street." Got corrected and made my delivery but a little later than I should have been. Going to do box truck maintenance today and give it a bath. Saw the spare was flat but I took care of that when I got back. Onward. Two steps forward and one step back.

Good morning, hope everyone had a good weekend. Some of you did with new guns and what not.
Cold here, and getting cooler. It rained cats and dogs last night, we were due snow but never happened.
Glad to see our sick ones are on the mend.
I've been reading up on the vaccines so far the Phizer one sticks out to me, but I hear none of them will be pleasant.
In the office today holding down the chair, working my off-days so that I can be gone next week. Stayed busy this weekend and got out yesterday and got all the christmas shopping done for cousin in the nursing home, already had a couple things for a friend or two. The MIssouri bunch I just ordered a table centerpiece for and scheduled delivery since we won't see them this year. Couple cousins I might pick up a shirt at the beach for and that'll bout do me. Speaking of leather and Harley saddlebags, I picked up a pair of nice Harley gauntlet gloves and a Harley jacket for the BF. Gave him the gloves already, will try to smuggle the jacket to the beach and wrap it christmas eve without him knowing.

Well, I was out in the shop working and went into the house to go to the bathroom. When I get back out to the shop, I see I missed a phone call, message left was a long one, it was from Social Security, "call back please we have questions about your application." So I call back and we discuss my info that was needed. Bob, my birthday is January, full retirement is March, I receive my first SS payment in April. Rosie will start the month after me.

Got a text from #1 GS wanting to know if we could change oil in his GF car today, so they are headed over so we can do that.

The buddy, whom I've been helping re-side his house, came by with a "check of appreciation" for all my help and said he will "make it right" as we finish up a few things inside the house. That was a nice surprise.

Got to get going GS will be here pretty soon.

I guess the wondering is over. My friend whose wife tested positive has now been verified as positive as well. Under the circumstances, I’m obligated to tell my employer. I told the nurse on duty and after some questions, was sent home until I get tested and get a clean Bill of health.
Various requirements say I can’t get tested until Friday this week. So I’m home.
No symptoms yet that I can tell.
I’ll keep you posted.
