0 DEGREES, THREE INCHES OF FINE, DRY SNOW, SUPPOSED TO GET ALL THE WAY UP TO FIVE TODAY.

AIN'T GOING NOWHERE; AIN'T DOING NOTHING.
I'LL SULK IN MY CAVE UNTIL THE ICE AGE IS OVER.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR SIL, TOMMY.

Morning guys....a tad bit chilly this morning, -18 now but expecting it to really soar into the low 0s.

Busy this morning responding to my FB ad selling the leftover beirocks. Sold 25 dozen of the extras already.

Not much else going on in the land of frigid!

Good morning. Looks like blizzard here today, dog is freaking out, glad we're both home as things need tending to here to keep water flowing. This isn't normal for us. Neither is a foot of snow that as of now is well on the way. The shop heater went out right at the start of it all, a man is here with a new motor fixing that issue as we speak. We have a plug in heater in the connected pool house and halogens on any pool plumbing outside. I've discovered some new leaks around windows now that it's so cold so go a lit of those things that need addressed. Looks like house cleaning day here I suppose and stew later.
Tee, I hate to appear ignorant but what's a bierock?

Maybe it's bi-rock. A new rock gender identification.

Tommy I’m also sorry for the loss of your SIL. I hope things go as well as possible.
I just googled the definition of, “beirock”. Sounds tasty!

Good Afternoon CGs!

Tommy, very sorry to hear about your sister in law.

We are expecting 6-10" of snow this afternoon. Just what we need.

I was at my buddy's last night until 3:30 working on his snowblowers. Didn't have carb rebuild kits so just tried to use the ultrasonic cleaner and some tinkering. Got the 1960s snapper running, that thing is a beast. Carb seals are still leaking and need to be replaced. The newer 9.0 hp craftsman tecumseh will need a full rebuild kit and a few other parts like a cap, fuel lines, primer line, primer bulb, etc. Got it to fire but won't stay running. I'm not too well versed in small engine repair so it's always a new adventure.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Tommy sorry to hear about your SIL.... sounds like you got the routine down but that's to bad also.....

Don't think it got above 0 all day and another -20 to 25 below tonight.... at some point you just stop caring.... I know this that when we get back to the 30's it will be like T shirt weather...

My Mom is not doing well and has been in and out of the hospital of late... she seems to have given up and just sits in her chair and stares.... not like her at all... she is 98 and I believe she is ready to move on to what's next... not much left here for her to accomplish you know? Not being negative about things just looking at the reality of it all.... we will see what the Lord has in mind...

keep the cupboard doors open and the heat on...... seems all those fancy ways of generating electricity are not doing so well right now...the solar panels have a foot of snow on them and the windmills won't turn because they are froze up... but guess what the coal trains are running just fine.... yep... we got power power wonder working power.....

have a safe night....

Yay for the coal train. Happy to have it. Have the house furnaces set to 67 and gas fireplace on. Shop heater is fixed and set to 50 to keep things ok out there. Heater mattress pad on warm up. All laundry and dishes are done, faucets dripping and cabinet doors open. Cops and news tell us to stay home next 4 days . Fine but payday is Thursday and no workey no money. I can get there but I don’t have keys. I might see if someone can leave me one somewhere . I’ve messaged the two I work with one replied “good question” and nothing further . Winter vacation I guess. “SNOWVID-21”
