I was reading an article in the June 2021 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines about military members returning with pockets full of cash looking to buy powerful rides on their return from overseas duty. Here is a quote from the article LAWMAN. "I heard from the Department of Transportation that we were losing as many [returning servicemen] driving cars as we were losing in the battle." Never really thought about that but I do remember muscle cars of the era as well as many Hot Rods found their way around many a tree, against a guard rail or over an embankment.
Speaking of muscle cars, have you seen the prices lately? Many make a C-8 look cheap for the price.
Yesterday I worked in the front yard cleaning it up again. The weeds are growing like .... weeds. Today I'm thinking car wash day but ya never know. Things could change at the ring of a bell.

IT WAS A DARK AND GLOOMY MORNING---
WOKE UP TO THUNDER AND LIGHTNING, THREE INCHES OF RAIN. THIS WILL BE THE ACID TEST FOR MY DRIVEWAY DRAINAGE WORK. IF IT WORKED ON TO PHASE TWO, IF NOT BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.

DARLING WIFE DOING WELL ON THE MOUNTAIN. ATE MEXICAN LAST NIGHT, A PLACE I HAD NOT BEEN TO IN YEARS. TOO LATE I REMEMBERED WHY: TERMINALLY BLAND.

BACK ON THE KIPLING CHANNEL:

WHEN THE "PROGRESSIVE" REPUBLIC WAS FORMING,
WE WERE PROMISED PERPETUAL PEACE.

IF GAVE THEM ALL OF OUR WEAPONS,
THEN CRIME WOULD IMMEDIATELY CEASE.

BUT WHEN WE WERE RENDERED DEFENSELESS,
THEY LET ALL THE CRIMINALS GO.

AND THE GODS OF THE COPYBOOK HEADINGS SAID,
‘STICK WITH THE DEVIL YOU KNOW’.

Good morning, all.

Tommy, I sent you a DM.

Bring A Trailer update—the listing is complete. I'll give everyone here a heads-up when it goes live.

Good morning - slow day at the office but been a freaking busy weekend. I was up early and got my 2nd covid shot Friday, then I never stopped till around 6 that night and then it was to make dinner and such then off to bed. Don't think I ever slept but woke up feeling beyond horrible Saturday, zero energy kinda like I was getting a sinus infection. Guess it was just the shot. Piddled some in the yard but tried to lay around and just rest. Sunday still no sleep but worked my hind end off in the yard, Monday worked more of it off in the house. Finally got some time to myself in the pool yesterday afternoon. It seems like the day after my shot I felt really bad, like I had fever all sweaty and stuff but no fever then after that it's like someone slipped some meth in my water. Anyone else? We now have a new flowerbed, dug out, new dirt in, mulched and planted, and over by our fence where the dip was that stays nasty, there's now a concrete piece joining the driveway to the shop front porch so it's a smooth transition - after a bazillion bags of concrete. Two other flower beds are mulched, trimmed, weeded and one more to go. All the extra dirt and grass (6' pile) was hauled to the front and put around the low spot around one of the trees. I'll see what I can get done tonight when I get home.
Glad to hear the BAT listing is complete John, keep us updated!

Letty, I felt like crap for a couple of days after my second shot. No meth water though. Believe me when I say my get up and go has got up and left but I believe that to be age related.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Took RR#2 mini golfing today. I kicked his butt. I'll have to rub that in for a while because the day will come soon where the tables turn.

Got a haircut today. Not as good as the first guy I used last month but still pretty good.

Kids start school on Thursday. Can't believe it.

John, glad the ad got approved. Good luck with the sale.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey guys, been pretty busy the last few days. Tomorrow, we will leave early.... like 5am, to take #2GS up to Manhattan (think Kansas State University) as he starts up his Junior year. First time away from home...momma is having a hard time.
