It's 10:25 and I'm the first one out? Y'all must've slept in today.
Beautiful outside, cooler temps here the next couple days, everybody hollering welcome fall and heck we still have three weeks of summer left. I say summer forever!
Hoping for a slow day today, I'm in the middle of a design redo for a pool company and she's slow getting to me. Install is backed up anyway so that works out I suppose.
Y'all have a good day

Tommy ask Sue if she needs a staff agronomist.... someone to put on classes for the clients on how to keep their flowers looking their best.... or not.....

Sue does need a couple of people to make her plants look the best. They are called weeders and feeders. Serious shortage of unskilled laborers from the south. U.S. folks don't want to work in anything that requires labor. (Bunch of pussies) No offense Letty. Not even sure you can call people pussies anymore with all this politically correct bullshit. Too many spineless whiners these days. Anyway, we need some laborers here. The ones that are here now think their $#!+ don't stink. They want $120 to $150 a day cash. We need workers on the books with green cards. Hard as hell to find. Every nursery and packing house here is looking for workers. Maybe the Afgans need work. Not that I have any opinions on anything.

I'm working in the yard today, tomorrow and everyday I'm not working on something else. It's hot, I'm sweaty but it's how I keep so slim and fit. Going to go see my heart doc tomorrow. I know what he's gonna say. Your numbers look great. How do you feel? Quit smoking. See you next year.

Good afternoon, all.

A scary evening yesterday in the Philadelphia area. A tornado system went right over our town, but chose not to touch down. It did touch down about 10 miles away, near the old Willow Grove Naval Air Station. Other tornados generated by Ida hit Annapolis, but missed the Naval Academy.

Today—of course—it's beautiful. There's still a lot of flooding, with the Schuylkill River's being classified as major and several interstates underwater. Thee locaaal water plant is also offline.

Meanwhile, the auction of the 1985 continues.

You agree then John. Hurricanes suck. If anywhere in it's path was suffering from drought conditions I guess that's no longer a problem.
Meanwhile back at the house. Got chased inside by a common afternoon deluge. Not before I got soaked though as I walked through the yard to the garage to escape the rain.

I have a friend in New York messaged me about all that weather. Hes' fine but says there's heavy rain and lots of water in areas and damages.
Tommy, no offense on the language, not much offends me in that way of things. That's just ONE of the words I'll toss out when appropriate lol.
Nice photos of the even over there in chat. I don't understand dropping TP for beer though, seems I'd at least take one roll lol

Hey folks, not sleeping in...up and around early to get some stuff done before it got hot. Cloud cover and cool, but humid as heck (for us, not for the majority of the rest of you though).

Loaded up and headed over to the next town over then north a few miles to finish up the job that was started back in March...not my fault for the delay, but over contractors, weather and mind changing/adding to the job. It's always good to finish up one of those things and have the client say "We just love what you did for us". And then hand you a check for the final amount.

Back home and then down to the storage shed to mow the lawn (read that as weeds) and spray the perimeter fence to keep the grass and weeds down, so we don't have to edge trim.

Back to the shop and I'm spraying some finish on a cabinet front and doors that we need to install at the local library this weekend while they are closed.

Gris, I can see that decision was probably made by a man, and not a woman...and I can relate to his train of thought. Tommy, Those laborers are short everywhere I think. All that talk about $15/hr minimum wage is making all those people think they are worth it.....it won't help a thing, all it will do is drive the cost of everything else up to the point where those people will be back in the same boat as they were before and drive many small businesses, OUT of BUSINESS. I don't get it, that people DON'T understand that..... stepping off soapbox. John we dodge those things on a regular basis out here. Not a fan of Winter, but haven't been too fond of this extra humid summer we've been having either. Someone asked me yesterday, If it was hot out there? Ahhhh, yes quite toasty. Do you have to work out in that often? Ahhh, yes more than I like. Which do you like better, Summer or Winter? SPRING AND FALL are my preference. But I'll take the heat over the nasty cold.

SAME HERE. IT HAS NOT BEEN AS HOT AS AN OLD FASHION SUMMER, BUT THE HUMIDITY HAS BEEN THE WORST I REMEMBER SINCE MOVING HERE 21 YEARS AGO.

COME ON, OCTOBER!
