Morning guys....brisk this morning. Moisture pouring in from the south and the weather gurus are saying we have a chance for some storms.

I have several things in the shop to do and this evening a prayer service sponsored ny the KoC.

Morning all,
beautiful day here today, 81 for the high, sunny and low humidity. Lows start getting lower after today and tomorrow. If we were gonna be in the pool one more time, today would be the day. If I wasn't already on a short schedule i'd take off today and stay home just for that. Need to go to the gym after work today, then pick up a couple things at the store, also need to go home and do a few things. Not enough time. I plan to drag some of the plants in Saturday after I get out of the nursing home.

Good morning!
Things were ok but now I’m with my son at the ER.

I need to vent some, so I’ll tell you now, the rest of this is a downer. Read it at your own choice.
He’s had lifelong food allergies and other gastro related issues. Since April he’s lost over 40lbs. because he can’t hold it down. This has caused a great deal of depression and acting out from his frustration.
I’m pretty sure that the medical practices regarding the digestive system and other related things are, at best just beyond the doctor sitting and pounding out rhythms on a log. It’s because of these issues he’s unable to hold a job. It’s getting worse as he ages.
I’ve been advised by friends to try the Cleveland Clinic, but he and my wife aren’t on board with it.
Dealing with it for so long has worn us all down, and I’m sure it’s not been good for our marriage. But the one major worry we share is what will happen after we’re gone. We won’t even begin to ask his sister to babysit him. She deserves a life. But his development issues preclude his independence, and group homes won’t be able to feed him.
We’ve tried different levels of counseling, but that’s just a route to pills, not actual help.
I kind of hope I haven’t ruined anyone’s day with this. I don’t want any pity for it.
I really just needed to spit it out.

I'm very sorry to hear what you are dealing with, the scope of which I, myself probably could never handle. Medicine has come a tremendously long way in recent years, in regards to digestive issues, among other things. I have had a friend and another family member to need surgical intervention to overcome issues and resume a normal life. Please do not discount Cleveland Clinic or wherever else you can find help. You have my prayers on this end and friends here as well. Vent anytime, reach out when you need to. We all need to and it helps to have soemone to talk to.

Ya Bob, we have a host of issues we deal with here so believe me when I say I understand your need to vent. I've been going through a major issue with my son as well for years now but have come to terms with his and my ability to deal with it. I hope you and he are able to chart a course toward a better future.
