Hello Guru's - I missed you guys.  I haven't been on here much in the last few years becasue I haven't had much to talk about.  But I am very pleased to announce... I did it right, and purchased a 95 Polo Green/Tan C4 Convertible with a 6 speed.  Its been a crazy couple of years. We sold our 89 Z51 over 10 years ago to get into something a little more modern, a little safer, a little faster.  Thats how we wound up with our 05 C6 still in the avitar below.  We kept that car almost 8 years.  It went from a base Z51 to making 585hp with a Maggie, methanol, heads and cam setup.  It was a wonderful car and stupid fast.  We had alot of fun with it but everytime we started talking about our entry into the Corvette world somehow we kept coming back to how great our C4 was and how much we missed it.  In 2017 we sold the C6.  It was the right time to do it.  From there we bought a Cadillac CTS 3.6, then a Challenger R/T (great car too), and back to a Cadillac CTS-v.  I also acquired a 72 Chevelle.  We were recently forced to relocate from New York, but we managed to land someplace warm.  When my wife and I talked about picking up a spare car we both came to the same conclusion; it was time for another C4.  So we are back.  We are back with a really cool car, in a really cool color, with low miles, and with all the C4 problems.  So I look forward to speaking with all of you again real soon LOL!

Looks great. There are still a few members that have kept C4's in their grasp. Polo's look great with shiny paint.

Thanks guys... and It is official, I am a C4 owner once more; blend door failed as well as the outside temp sensor. I had no heat the last two days. Got a new one off amazon same day and got the temp sensor from Zip. Heat blows hot; AC Ice cold.

I also ordered a set of wheels and tires....

Overall I am very happy to be back. Car drives great. I missed the "experience" all new cars seem to lack.

Thank you. This has been a color combo we have been lusting over since early 2000... definitely worth the wait, I love looking at it.

Welcome back Dan. Not sure I could go back to the C4. I loved my 94, but my C6 is so much more comfort, performance and creature comforts.

That being said, I love the looks of the C4 and wouldn't mind having one as a sister to 007. The other half has a lot to say about that though.

Welcome back and hello. I loved my 96 C4, wished I'd kept it. The C5 I hated, the C6 reminds me of my C4 but newer with more toys. C4s were great cars, they all have their issues, just did the temp door, actuators etc on my '12.

We took a brief look at C5s before we bought the C4. C5s are the best deal on the planet right now. With that said, its all about feelings and timing. Neither of us wanted the C5. To us it looked oddly dated? Funny saying that since the C4 is literally dated. I guess the C4 is dated in the right way at this point in history. Its got a great feel. We both missed how raw the car was. In my opinion it has just the right amount of creature comforts without feeling so modern; it still gives you that raw driving experience and connected to the road feel.

We had a great time with the C6, and went a lot of places with it, but it almost drove too well? I'm not sure how to explain the feeling but I am happy to say at least for right now we are thrilled with our purchase!

I have a high compression Iron 6.0 with Ported Heads and a TSP Torquer V4 cam that's been sitting in the corner of my storage container for the last few years. I built it for another car which is gone. I haven't had any idea what to do with it.... but its come to mind the last few days.....

Now THAT would help with the performance issues the C4 has.... That would bring it into a more current performance state.

Welcome back, Dan. I'm in a C5 now after losing my C4 last year. I miss the C4 so I understand your desire to get back into one.
