Hey folks...

Every body must be recovering from the big night.....I slept in a bit, but, I just couldn't stay up to see the new year in. We were in bed by 11pm. Woke up this morning to about 3" of snow on the ground.

Nothing really on the agenda today, except church at 4. It's cold (5 right now) and light breezes (about 25mph from the north).

Good Morning 2022..... means we are all a bit older as the Earth makes its annual trip around the Sun..... Snowing and cold and 0 degrees out there right now..... good day for watching some movies and maybe some work in the shop....got some new things for the HD for Christmas..... everything else is tucked away and waiting for spring....

it was 40 degrees in the mud room when I went to let the dogs out this morning..... they were not complaining but I did turn on the electric wall heater for them..... usually keep it at 65 for them at night.....

I sure hope 2022 will be better than the last 2 years.... but with numb nuts running things I don't see how that can be... every man for himself looks like in the pursuit of happiness and joy..... Keep the hammer down Guru's....

Went to Sue's client's New Year's party. There were about 70 guests. Most were family or friends of the family. Interestingly he is from Minneaoplis where is a buiding developer. Notably he is a Palestinian who has been shot on the Isrerali border by a rubber bullet discharged by Israeli soldiers. His family hopes for a free Palestine. He is a refugee that was educated in the United States and has done quite well clawing his way to the top. One of the other guests was also of notable interest. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. She is a friend of his. She was a refugee from Somalia that spent many years in refugee camps before arriving in the United States. She also obtained an education here and made strides unheard of before in the U.S.. Though I disagree with her politically, she's a socialist democrat, I have to applaud her determiniation. She has seen horrors that many of us have never experienced. I did not engage her in conversation but Sue did. Also of interest is that Sue is Jewish. The diversity of this nation is incredible. So may people from so many different backgrounds that I have met along the way. Acceptance is often difficult for a white boy from Boston but tolerance is a trait I've learned from my esposure to people from all over the globe. It IS a small world after all.

STARTED THE NEW YEAR IN THE HOSPITAL. HAD SOME CHEST PAIN THURSDAY NIGHT AND TOOK AN AMBULANCE TO TAHLEQUAH HOSPITAL. ON NEW YEAR’S EVE HAD A HEART CATH AND A STENT PUT IN SOME ARTERY MOST PEOPLE DON’T EVEN HAVE. NO DAMAGE DONE, BUT THE AFTERMATH OF THE CATH WAS WORSE THAN USUAL FOR SOME REASON. DARLING WIFE WENT HOME AFTER THAT AND THE DAUGHTERS TOOK OVER. I RECOMMEND YOU NEVER GO TO THE HOSPITAL WITHOUT DAUGHTERS 😊
#1 GRANDDAUGHTER HAD DONE A ROTATION THERE DURING MED SCHOOL AND SHE CALLED ALL HER ACQUAINTANCES TO BE SURE THEY TOOK CARE OF GRANDPA.

I WAS VERY FAVORABLY IMPRESSED WITH THE AMBULANCE CREW AND THE HOSPITAL STAFF, ESPECIALLY THE NIGHT NURSE, SHE WAS A BEAUTY AND FUN TO TALK TO.
GOT HOME ABOUT NOON AND ALL IS WELL. GOT SOME NEW PILLS TO TAKE ☹

Happy New Year CGs!

Went by mom's this morning and dropped off the snowblower that I fixed for her. While I was there I did a couple of little plumbing projects and fixed some odds and ends. Never seems to be a shortage of things to do there.

We are supposed to get anywhere from 3-9 inches of snow depending on who you ask. It was supposed to start at 9, started around noon. We'll see what happens. The ground was pretty wet so nothing had been sticking yet.

Dreaming of Corvette weather already...

Oh man, Gris, We hope and pray for a quick recovery.......

All the way up to 7* now, and the wind is only blowing at about 35mph, so it's jacket weather here. Headed to church.

Wow, Gris, hope you're feeling better. It's amazing that putting a stent in is such a routine procedure now and you're home the next day. But it's good to have contacts like that, as well.

Yes, feel better GRIS. Stay out of the hospital as much as possible.

Heck of a way to start the new year Gris.....glad they caught it and got you fixed up.... sounds like you had some good help also.... stay well....
