Good morning everyone!

After I wrote out my post on Thursday evening, I got a call from the union guy. Apparently only 25 showed up for 2nd shift and so many were calling in for 3rd, they sent 2nd shift home and canceled 3rd. Everyone in skilled trades has agreed it’s truly out of character for them to do that. I’m just glad I didn’t have to drive in that weather.
Yesterday I braved the elements and did what I could to clear the driveway. Limited success as the snow was preceded by a solid glaze of ice, followed by about an inch and a half of now frozen sleet. But it’s passable.
My greatest achievement for Friday was cutting paths through the backyard so, “the boys,” could find a place to do some business.
Oh, I also found I was wrong about snow emergencies. Our county re-instituted them some time ago as the Sheriff then got tired of his deputies risking so much more injury while dealing with the traffic problems that weather brings. Now there’s fewer people on the road, and fewer snow related accidents.
Gotta hit the sack, have a good weekend!

Hey guys, Up and around awaiting the delivery of the new freezer. Email said delivery between 8:30 and 12:30. About 9:30 they called and said 20-30 minutes, sure enough they were here in 25 minutes, had it unloaded and in place in the house by 10:05. Now just waiting for it to cool down enough to transfer the stuff out of the old one.

Good afternoon, Warner here glad power is back on, been a hassle last few days. Got straight home Thursday to get dug in for winter storm, lost power that night, made executive decision to drain down pool n blow out lines at 1130, lost power all night shortly after. Roads worse yesterday than day before , better today but can’t get myself out of my hood. Interstates are fine. Oneta still in hospital and not getting much better very sick still. New doc and one of her nurses are awesome. Sitting outside in my beach chair in the sun not much happening today. Arron went to work somewhere so I have the house to myself a bit. Just out here watching the birds.
Sorry to hear about your loss Tee. Bob, drive careful life is worth more than a job.
