Well its the weekend...... I did a major clean out last week in to man cave with the help of my bride..... and the quest for clean and uncluttered continues.... Lil Red pickup is doing well and running well....

I quit my job with the Coop and had to give my work pickup back to them and quickly discovered this is no time to be buying anything with wheels.... stupid prices on everything and mostly on any age pickup trucks..... its nuts out there.

So in the meantime I will drive Lil Red to get me around. I started a new job with a group out of Colorado last week. I have granted them the marketing rights to a new liquid fertilizer that I invented and patented. So I am helping them move all that forward. Focusing on production for this coming year at this time trying to get things off the ground and into production. More on that later....

Have a guy I know tell me he would like to buy my 2010 Grand Sport and has offered decent money. I have had the car 10 years and it has served me well.... do not know what I will do yet. It has 70K miles on it and it would be a good time to move it if I so choose.... More on that later also...

Keep moving forward Guru's......

Good Afternoon CGs!

Marcus we will be changing your username to inventerman....very cool! Now is a great time to sell the Corvette but a terrible time to buy....lol. At least you have the other chebby to get you by. I'm actively seeking an early 90s fox body mustang and the prices and doubled and tripled in the past 2 years. Insane.

Taught three classes this morning. Black belts were acting up and got an earful from me. Yes they are just kids but there's a time and a place. I think their arms will be sore tomorrow from push ups.

Hope everyone has a great day!

ahh....the young Poom's must show the Sah Bum Nim great respect in the Dojang..... or face his wrath...

I was getting ready to test for my Blue Dhee when that pesky 12 year old girl broke my nose and that was after I had recovered from a 16 year old who savaged my left knee with an errant side kick..... soon after that I humbly retired from the quest for a Black Belt.

I do have several silver and bronze medals from the Nebraska State Games. Mostly in Forms but also in sparring.... could not chance getting put out of work back then since I was the sole breadwinner......

Marcus,

It's interesting to see how things have changed and how they've stayed the same in the past 20 years. I'm having to learn forms that are new to me so I can teach the kids. Never thought I'd be doing that at 40+ but I'm enjoying myself.

Hey guys, been pretty busy the last few days. Weather today was really pretty nice for mid February. 60 on thursday, 58 yesterday, but only 45 today.

Wednesday evening at our KofC meeting Father, during his report, threw me a huge curve, saying, that some major changes were happening in the church. Most of which I've been privy too...electrical updates/upgrades, painting the entire inside moving some pews and building a platform for the choir/musicians and new carpeting. Well, "the electrical has been done, the painting is going to be completed early next week and we have ordered the carpet which will be in and ready to install in a couple weeks." WTH? I thought we were going to do some fund raising things before we ordered and had the carpet installed? This would give me a few months to get the Pews moved and modified and the platform built. This revelation kicked me in the gonies. So, Thursday, I decided I'd better try and do some of that. I had to remove the "modesty panel" in front of the front pew, remove the front pew, cut it down 43", put it back together and move it to the other side (where our music/choir has been for 35 or so years). So Thursday, I got part of that done. I recruited my friend, Bob, former student, church member, contractor to help me. Friday, I went back to finish that, Remove the 'modesty panel" from the other side, cut it down 64" and move it back about 40" in line with the one on the other side. The only thing left was to bring back a pew that had been removed years ago and put up in the old 'choir loft' and put it back in it's original place. No problem, right? AH, the pew is nearly 16' long, heavy (solid oak) no way it go down the stairs, so has to go over the front rail and down to the floor on end. So Bob and I are trying to figure out who we could get to help us and Father makes a few calls and within 30 minutes, we have 6 KofC members here to help and we get this monster down and in place. But, after placing it, I realize I'm going to have to cut this one down too, to make it look right. By now, it is after 5pm and we just decide to call it a week, and just rope off the pews we changed/moved so no one uses them this weekend. They are not attached to the floor, we still need to finish drilling holes in the concrete floor and add the anchors to the last one. I told them, I was committed to another job today, so I would have to come back next week to finish that up.

So about 6:30pm I grab GS#3 and we go to the storage shed and load up the cabinets we were installing today and then back to the shop to gather and load the tools we would need. At 8 this morning, Rosie and I pick up GS and head over to the 'city' to install the cabinets. We finished that little job and got home in time for me to clean up and change into my "official time keeper" clothes to work the basketball game at 2pm.

Tomorrow, Rosie and I will make our traditional pilgrimage, for her birthday/Super Bowl celebration at the casino in Dodge City. Not going over very early, probably late afternoon.
