Good Morning CGs!

Poured rain yesterday. More rain this morning. For once I have zero complaints about that. Hopefully that takes care of all of the salt on the road which means car weather is right around the corner.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well decided to keep the Grand Sport.... I have always liked it and would miss it if it were gone..... I was going to use the money to pay off the Duramax I bought but dipped into savings to cover that. Since things are running downhill like a runaway freight train and don't trust the stock market now anyway....thought better use it or lose it......

This public service message is now over.

Busy day. At least I'm trying to get a few things done. Energy is lacking as well as desire but pushing through anyway.

Its been awhile since I poked in here. Bought a 65 coupe a year ago plus. Doing a full frame off restoration. With emphasis on saving her from being beatup by the purests. Still some things like the carb is replaced with a Holley Terminator. The matching numbers L79 will use an LT-1 cam. The radio is deleted, replaced with a bluetooth amp for kickpanel speakers. Original steel wheels with a set of reconditioned wheels covers and red-lines. Keeping the colors matching the trim tag.

Should be ready for the IronStone Concours in September. Hopefully before.....

Hey guys, another busy day. Weather-wise, it was nearly perfect. A cool start, but warmed up to a very comfortable 68* with light breezes.

Worked in the shop for a while, worked on cleaning up the bed of the pickup, then went to church.

Been looking to buy a trailer to haul things around. Nearly bought a 16' home built flatbed. I had my neighbor go with me yo look at it, he is pretty savvy. We decided it looked pretty good, but then he said he thought that I needed an enclosed trailer for most of what I do, like the one I borrowed from him a couple years back. I said "So why don't you sell me yours?" He talked it over with his wife and agreed to sell it to me. Well, after church he brought it by. Not a huge trailer, 14' single axle. He originally bought it to haul his motorcycle to their summer home and has since sold the bike, so hasn't really used it much over the last 5 or 6 years. Been stored in a shed 95% of the time. A new one like it is almost $8k. I'll clean it up tomorrow, maybe give it a coat of Rejex and coat the tires to help preserve them. I've purchased locks for the doors and a lock for the hitch. When not in use, I'll park it down at the storage shed, so I will want to make it as secure as possible.
