I think this lake was formed from a result of building stuff in the area.

YOU GOT THAT BACKWARDS :-) THE BUILDUP CAME AFTER THE LAKE.
THEY DAMMED THE EAST FORK OF THE TRINITY RIVER FOR DALLAS WATER. ROCKWALL FOUGHT IT TOOTH AND NAIL. THE EAST FORK BOTTOMS WERE FIRST CLASS FARM LAND. DALLAS, OF COURSE, PREVAILED. THE LAND OWNERS WELL WELL COMPENSATED. I KNOW OF ONE HOUSE CARPENTER WHO NEVER HAD AN INDOOR TOILET UNTIL HE BUILT A BIG NEW HOME WITH HIS EMINENT DOMAIN MONEY.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA HERE, STILL DRIVING THE TOMATO WHILE THERE'S TOP-DOWN WEATHER, STILL PICKING OFF SQUIRRELS.

BIDEN’S STUDENT LOAN GIVEAWAY IS A TEXTBOOK EXAMPLE OF HOW REWARDING BAD BEHAVIOR PUNISHES GOOD BEHAVIOR.

Yesterday, the 24th of August, was the 30th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew. That event was one of the most traumatic of my life. The two other memorable emotional traumas were almost losing my son to Kawasaki Syndrome (named after Dr. Kawasaki) in 1979 and Sue's accident in 1989. It took her years to recover from and she still suffers repurcussions. Those experiences strengthened me to handle many less critical issues. Check out this story on remembering Andrew. Certainly for me it is something I will never forget.
