Good Morning CGs!

Had a busy day yesterday. I agreed to do a "quick" brake job on the father in-law's car. Just front rotors and pads, shouldn't take more than an hour and a half, right? Yeah...three more trips to the parts store, two new calipers and brackets, two new brake hoses, and a sway bar end link. Still needs a CV axle eventually, he didn't mention that to me. I was seven hours deep by the end of it, but the car stops now. So he's happy. Car is a 2006 Nissan Altima with 156,000 miles on it. He's the "just one more year" guy so I think it's bubble gum and bailing wire holding it together at this point. But he's family so you do what you have to.

Tackling the shower valve later today. Hopefully that comes along without any issues.

Hope everyone has a great day!

OVERCAST AND 70 DEGREES ON THE FRONT PORCH. YESTERDAY'S RAIN DIDN'T WAIT TILL AFTERNOON, BUT WAS JUST ENOUGH TO LAY THE DUST. WE NEED MORE, MAYBE TODAY---

BREAKFAST AT THE BOOMERANG, HARVEY IS HOME, PROBLEM WAS A FRAYED WIRE, JUST GLAD IT WAS FOUND. DARLING WIFE'S SISTERS IN DALLAS BOTH HAVE KUNG FLU, THE OLDER ONE ALREADY HAS COMPROMISED LUNG FUNCTION. OMINOUS :-(

UMAN: QUESTION RE GREEN HOUSE, WAS THAT A CAST OF THOUSANDS OR A COST OF THOUSANDS? ASKING FOR A FRIEND---

KEEP UP THE FIRE!

Good luck to the sister in laws, Gris. Hope they pull through with no complications. My wife still has some asthma / lung issues and I have some memory loss (can't remember names) from our stint a few years ago.

On a positive note the shower valve is done. Had corrosion built up in the valve with some minor pitting. Had a small leak after install and I had to remove it and sand some more but it is good now.

..... yeah Gris....that would be a cost of thousands...you nailed it.... what started out as a small project has become something like an addition on the house.... but she is so very happy putting around making flowers for the winter.... its only money right? My stock is at an all time high right now....I could take advantage but the time is not right...

I know what you mean Matt.... I can't remember anniversaries and birthdays as well as I used to ...... I have not heard of the Vid making it hard to remember names..... hope that gets better as time goes by.... you are getting older now you know... just saying....

got stuff to do so I'm on it......

good afternoon - sunny and pretty here, good day to be home, but here I sit. Got two jobs submitted yesterday so owner has stuff to do while I'm out later this week. He probably has enough other crap too. Gris hope the inlaws get better soon and glad you found your wire and got the issue solved. Matt, we're getting older, I seem to have the CRS issue myself lol. Hope it does get better with time. tint manager here don't recollect much at all from his week of having it, says the week was a blur.

CRS? I can't remember what that means. LOL

Flushed the house water system and replaced the water filter. Other home tasks lined up.

Hey guys, lots accomplished today. I'd tell you what I did, but I can't remember any of it.

Matt, I've had my share of those types of jobs... makes you wonder why you take them on.
