Went to the Holiday Party and sat next to the director of the University of Florida TREC (TROPICAL RESEARCH & EDUCATION CENTER). Nice lady. I chatted about anything but plants. Mostly travel. My primary responsabilty with Sue's company is as a honey-do and my plant based knowledge is limited. I'm smarter than some but technical discussions about plants goes over my head. Back to party prep. I'll be doing that foe the next two weeks. It's basically a big yard and house winter clean up. Have a great day gurus and let's see if I can get something done around here ... undisturbed.

Good morning, dreary and rainy here again today, they say it will end Friday. Let's hope so I can't handle much more of this mess.
Gonna try to make more headway on the trailer I'm working on,and see what the day brings. Hopefully I can be left alone today, just not in much of a peopley mood.
Y'all have a good one.

ANOTHER DISMAL, DRIPPY DAY IN THE NATIONS, INCH AND A QUARTER IN THE GAUGE, 53 ON THE FRONT PORCH, 62 THE PREDICTED HIGH. THE SUN HAS FORSAKEN THE CHEROKEES :-(

SORRY ABOUT YOUR DOG, LETTY. IT'S HARD TO PART WITH AN OLD FRIEND; SOMETIMES IT'S A LAST ACT OF LOVING KINDNESS.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY. I COULD EXPLORE SOME MORE TIRE PRICES, MAYBE PUT MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE BACK IN THE BANK BOX---OR RESIGN MYSELF TO ANOTHER TWO NAP DAY.

Morning guys... Drippy and foggy here. Rosie off to the 'city' for a few groceries, but mainly to watch the GGD for a few hours. I'll head to the shop in a bit.

I already spent a little over an hour catching up on the paperwork. End of year coming and I'll need to be caught up to finish off the paperwork for the accountant.

This afternoon/evening I'm driving the Senior Center van, with a group of local seniors, over to Dodge City for the Mannheim Steamroller concert at the casino. Been wanting to go see them for years, but the never seem to be near. The director of the Senior Center called me to see if I would drive a group over back in early October. Heck yea! She's paying for mine, and Rosies' tickets, AND paying me an hourly rate to do it.....Yesterday, she told me save your receipt for your meal and I'll pay for that too.... Ah, no, you aren't going that far, I'm making out like a thief anyway. Report coming tomorrow on the experience.

So sorry about the pooch Letty. They become family and when they pass it hurts just like human family. One reason we won't ever have one...bad enough that all three kids each have at least 2 dogs and grandson/wife have one...we have 9 granddogs that we love to pieces.

Howdy gang!

Sunny and cool down here. Very seasonable. Been a bit damp, too. Which is great!

81 years ago, we declared war on Japan. The next day, Hitler declared war on us. It took us 3 years and 9 months to wipe the world of both enemies. Pretty damned impressive, when you think about it.

I splurged and bought one of those Balsam Hill artificial Christmas trees. oh, so very nice!! even has a remote for the lights!!

NOT YET, I'M JUST HITTING THE LOCAL SHOPS, GETTING QUOTES ON BFG'S MOUNTED, BALANCED, AND OUT THE DOOR. DOESN'T SEEM TO BE AN AVAILABILITY PROBLEM.

Good Evening CGs!

Letty, sorry to hear about the doggo. Never easy.

Speaking of tires I made a 6 hour round trip to pick up new (used) rims and tires form the Camaro. I wanted the chrome 10 spokes (similar to C5 Z06 rims) that came on the car from SLP in 2000-2002. Pretty tough to find and these were a great deal. So the drive was worth it.

Hope everyone has a great day!
